14. "Alive"

We hurriedly sat back down and opened up the window to see Claire and Gray.

"Are you guys okay?" Zach asked.

"Well we're still alive so I guess that's good. I just hope that Owen is okay." And as soon as Claire said that, we heard a low rumble of a motorcycle.

"Owen!" I yelled. Thank god he's okay! I don't know what would of happened to us if he wasn't. I mean, there's a rouge dinosaur that can control velociraptors on the loose.

"We need to get indoors!" He commanded.

"I'll follow you! We need to get to the lab!" Claire shouted to Owen. He simply nodded and sped in front of us.

We drove swiftly to the visitors center where the lab was located. Claire hit the break gently and told us to all get out.

Zach and I ran around the corner of the van, and went immediately to Gray's side.

"Are you okay?" Zach asked , very concerned of his little brother.

"I-I'm okay." He choked, clearly frightened.

Zach gave him a reassuring smile and nodded. He patted him on the back.

"Let's go!" Owen declared. We all followed him through the center, and into the lab. To say it was abandoned was an understatement. There was literally nothing except four weird looking animals. One of them a snake, an amphibian, a spider, and some sort of reptile.

Gazing at the abnormal creatures, a muted clinking noise came from around the corner.

Claire and Owen stood up and walked cautiously over to see what it was.

"Hoskins, what the hell are you doing?" Claire sternly asked.

"I'm afraid that's above your pay grade lady." Hoskins spoke while he and some other workers put embryos into a cooler type thing.

"You can't do this!" Owen sternly said. Hoskins began to laugh.

"Listen, I don't care about this stupid park. But those animals of yours, those raptors are very intelligent. And handing them over to the government will grant me tons of money." He smirked. I began shaking my head.

"That's so wrong. These are actual living things! Not weapons made for war!" I yelled. He laughed once again.

"I don't make the rul-" he was cut off by Charlie breaking through the glass. He growled, looking at Hodgens.

We began to back up, as Hoskins held out his hand.

"Hey, I'm on your side. It's okay boy!" Hoskins stated, trying to remain calm. Charlie jolted towards him, biting his hand.

Hoskins screamed in horror and pain. Charlie let go and began to maul him.

We all ran out of the lab and into the halls.

Hey guys sorry for the really long wait!! I was back from my vacation on August 5th, but I was waiting to update because everything was crazy with going to school and all that.

I'm in middle school so yasssss
