3. Gut feeling

The players took their position on the ice as the game was about to start. As the puck was dropped the stadium started to roar again.

All the players were skating with a lot of speed. It amazed me how they could possibly move that quickly on the ice with such a thin blade. I love the sound of the skates hitting the ice and the excitement in the crowd. I finally realized why Brielle loves it so much.

"Bri this is amazing!" I screamed "I know! Happy you didn't stay in your dorm all night?" she questioned. But, I didn't respond. I was too amazed by the game in front of me.

Hockey is kind of insane. The way these grown men are all fighting each other for a small piece of black rubber was crazy. They were knocking each other to the ground and smashing each other into the boards every chance they got. It seemed a little silly, but for some reason I loved it. This strange gut feeling told me I was going to become a hockey fanatic.

A loud buzzer broke me from my thoughts as the men began to step off the ice. "What are they doing?" I turned to Brielle. "It's the end of the first period, there are three in total. They are going to take a break in the locker room" she informed me.

2nd period

The intermission was over and the players began to go back to the bench.  Seguin and Benn were next to each other again. Before they sat I saw Tyler glance my way and again, quickly turn back around.

The second period was extremely physical and fast paced. With two minutes remaining in the 2nd period, Jamie stole the puck from a guy by the name of Crosby and made a long pass to Tyler. Tyler took off to the other side of the rink with nobody else around him. The fans started to scream as he faked out the Penguin's goalie and shot the puck passed him. Tyler threw his arms up in the air as his team attacked him.

When their little celebration was over Tyler skated back to the bench. He hopped over the wall and winked at me, but this time he didn't look away. He starred back at me and gave me a smirk. This time it was me who quickly looked away. I couldn't let him see me blush, as he melted me with that stupid grin.

The second period was over and I was still left speechless.

3rd period

The puck had just dropped and once again the fans started to scream. The Stars had the lead, but had to put up a good fight to keep it. Literally, fight.

Five minutes into the period, two men started to yell at each other and they both dropped their gloves. Both benched stood up along with the fans. I swear I could feel the stadium shaking. They started to pull on each other's jersey and throw punches. The Stars player won as he fell to the floor with the other player. They were both escorted to a box next to their bench. I heard Bri call it a penalty box earlier in the game.

I turned to Brielle and started to ask a bunch of questions. "Why did they fight? Why didn't the referees stop it? Why didn't the other players stop it? Is fighting even allowed?" I asked without giving Bri time to respond. "It's just part of the game Bella... one of the most exciting parts of the game" she answered like it was no big deal.

The game continue and with 7 minutes remaining in the game a security guard tapped me on the shoulder. "Excuse me miss, someone requested that I bring you to the locker room at the end of the game" he stated. I knew right away that the request was Tyler's. Mostly because he turned around when I finished speaking to the guard and gave me one of his smirks. That damn smirk would be the death of me. But, I don't think I will be going to locker room after the game.

"Bell! What's wrong with you? I can't believe you said no!" Brielle practically yelled. "I'm sorry Bri, but I have to get back to studying. I don't understand why he wants meet me anyway"

The game was over and Dallas won 1-0. It was an exciting game, but Brielle still wants to go to the Stars locker room. "How many times do I have to say no? I don't want to go to the locker room. I have to get back to studying and I don't know him. I can't let him distract me" I snapped. "Fine Bella! Just saying I would have said yes"

The car ride back to school was silent. We were both tired after watching such an intense game.

Back at the dorm I couldn't focus on my work. I just couldn't stop thinking of Tyler's goal, his smile, his red cheeks and that ridiculous smirk. I decided to give up on studying now for the night and go to sleep. But, I had a hard time doing that too. I just couldn't block Tyler Seguin out of my mind and I don't even know why.

Alright so that's the third chapter. Tyler noticed Bella but she is already turning him down.

Will Bella continue to avoid Tyler? Is Tyler going to give up that easily? Will Bella's decision to not go to the locker room bother Tyler?

BTW ....I am a big hockey fan. I'm a die hard NY Rangers fan. The game was originally the Stars vs the Rangers, but I couldn't get myself to write about the Rangers losing. Lmao I'm sorry but it just killed me to say that someone faked out Lundqvist...even if it was Tyler Seguin.😂
