(Max P.O.V)

I watched her retreating figure, what did she mean Alissa happened?

Confused I walked along the hallway until I found Alissa giggling with her friends. "Alissa" I said catching her attention, she turned around to me and a bright smile appeared on her face. As if flicking on a switch she turned into flirt mode. I had to hold back the grimace that way dying to appear on my face. Covering it up with a fake smile I motioned with my figure to come over and talk with me. She turned and whispered something to her friends; I think their names were Sally and Megan? She smirked and strutted over to me. Yes, strutted. Here high heels clacking on the hallway floor.

"What can I help you with Max?" she purred looking at me through her eyelashes

Alissa was kind of attractive; she had long legs, bright blonde hair and caked on make up. If she wasn't wearing so much make up you could probably see that she had a cute face but all the make up kind of hid it. Jasmine didn't wear much make up; she had natural beauty... Wait; hold up brain. Natural beauty? When did I turn into a girl? And more importantly when did I start thing jasmine had natural beauty?! Shaking those thoughts away, I looked back at Alissa's blue eyes, "Anyways, Jasmine had a red line on her neck and she said that you had something to do with it... What happened?" I asked curiously

Alissa smile dropped, "Jasmine? Why do you want to know about her?" the way she said 'her' made my stomach churn a little. A little shocked at my reaction I blinked a couple of times, what was that? Snapping out of my little metal conversation, I repeated my question, "What happened?"

Alissa pouted attempting to give me a puppy dog look, I wasn't buying so I gestured for her to start talking. Letting out an annoyed puff, she crossed her arms in front of her looking like a child. "I saw her talking to you and I got a little jealous... I just pulled on her hood to get her to stop and she made some gasping noise and turned around to face me. That's it" She finished examining her nails

My jaw clicked and my fists clenched beside me. I'm guessing when Alissa said that Jasmine made a gasping sound it was because she couldn't breathe and by the look of line Alissa pulled on her hood pretty tightly. My stomached started to churn a little. What was with me today? I never felt this way... Wait did I feel something for Jasmine? No, that can't be it. I mean she's beautiful, and I find it quite entertaining to annoy her, but that's it. Like the time I locked her in the cold room. Smiling at the thought I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Alissa.

"Hmm, okay. Bye" And with that I turned on my heel to go get my stuff for class

Alissa rejoined with her friends and I heard them ask her, "So? Did he ask you out?" Sally or Megan asked

Alissa shook her head, "No he wanted to know why Jasmine had a red line on her neck..." the way she said Jasmines name made the feeling in my stomach come back, weird... Pushing those thoughts to the back of my head I finally got to my locker. Only a few students lined the halls, one of which was leaning against my locker. Smiling I crept up to Ranger and yelled boo. He jumped dropping his phone that he was texting on and let out a girly squeak. I laughed so hard my sides began to hurt, clutching his shoulder for support I bet over in my fit of laughter. Sobering up I looked at him. "Your face was priceless!" I said chuckling again

He mumbled under his breath, "Sometimes I wonder why I'm even friends with you..." I laughed at his comment and began to unload books from my locker.

"Sorry bud, couldn't help it" I said to my best friend grinning like a child.

He grunted and looked around for his phone. It was laying on the ground a few feet away, sighing he went to pick it up only to be stopped by the vice principal picking it up in her manicured hands. Standing back up she straightened out her business suit and skirt and looked disapprovingly at Ranger.

"Mr Ranger, you know the rules about mobile phones" She stated looking through her square glasses

I held back a laugh as Ranger nodded, "Yes miss, I wasn't using it I dropped it when Max startled me..."

The vice principal scoffed, "Ranger if that was you being startled and you made that noise then I hate to see what happens if you get scared" handing him back his phone she gave him a firm look before setting off down the hallway again. As soon as see was out of earshot I burst out laughing again.

"Oh be quiet would you" Ranger pouted

"Sorry, Sorry. Okay I have to get to class so I'll see you at lunch" I replied slamming my locker

Looking around most of the students had already gone to class, I mean I was a 'bad boy' but I wasn't usually late to class. Strolling into the classroom I noticed that I was in fact late, maybe I shouldn't have gone to talk to Alissa.

I hope Jasmine is okay...

Ugh, really brain? Again? What is up with me today?

"Sorry I'm late" I stated at the doorway, my gaze landed on a familiar head of brown hair. Jasmine had her hair out of her hood now and it fell down over her shoulders as she lent down on the desk concentrating on her writing.

She didn't look up from her work when I talked, weird, usually all the girls would be looking at me and asking me to sit next to them.

Smirking I walked over to her desk and sat down next to her dropping my books on the table making her jump again, "Max, I thought we talked about you not scaring me..." she mumble still looking down at her work

I laughed, "How did you even know it was me? I could have been some random..." I replied raising and eyebrow

Finally she looked up and smiled at me, my breath caught in my throat. Did I mention she was beautiful?

Rolling her ocean coloured like eyes she adjusted her thick black-framed glasses. "Max, I'm not deaf. I heard you when you came to the door..." She replied with a look of amusement on her face

I think I should go to a doctor this afternoon, get myself checked out...

Her look of amusement faded into a worried look, "Why would you got to the doctors? Is everything okay?" She asked suddenly dropping her pencil

Did I say that out loud?

She laughed lightly, "Yes you did silly, are you alright though?" she asked again worry clouding her beautiful eyes

"Oh..." I laughed sheepishly rubbing the back of my neck, "Never mind I'm okay..."

Giving me a confused look she turned back to her work and began to focus on the teacher who had begun to teach again.

"You sure you're alright?" A voice asked me, looking over at Jasmine it wasn't her voice. Frowning I turned around to see Alissa in the desk beside me. Purring out the words she placed a hand over mine and looked up through her eyelashes at me, "Because I can take to the doctors..."

Opening my mouth to answer her, Jasmine scoffed beside me, "Please Alissa, you desperation is starting to make me feel sick"

Biting back a laugh I covered it up quickly with a cough. Alissa made a huffing sound before turning to face the front of the classroom.

Turning my face away from Alissa I chuckled lightly, "Are you feeling sick? Do you want me to take you to the doctor?" I asked her quietly so that Alissa wouldn't hear me. Her blue-green eyes shone with amusement we both burst out laughing together.

Alissa's annoying voice cut through our laughter, "Geez Jasmine, didn't your parents teach you manners..." Jasmine's laughter stopped abruptly

Frowning at her I looked into her eyes for answers, her usual happy blue-green eyes had darkened; pushing up from her desk she kept her face emotionless.

Turning to Alissa who was smirking evilly she said a simple sentence that would cause me even more confusion into the beautiful girl known as Jasmine Valley.

"They didn't get the chance..." And with that she grabbed her books and left the room with the same cold, emotionless expression. Her sadness made me want to run after her and ask her what happened but I figured it would be best if she had some time alone...
