Laura's POV
It's Saturday at 12 in the afternoon and I have nothing to do. I hear my phone go off and when I pick it up I see it's an unknown number
Laura: hello??
???: Hello is this Laura Marano?
Laura: yes this is she
???: this is Sydney Parker the director calling you to tell you that you have a call back... please meet me at Broadway tomorrow for a reading with your very own scene partner
Laura: thank you... Thank you
Sydney: your welcome see you tomorrow
She hangs up the call and I start dancing around the room. I opened my messages and texted Ross
Laurie😘💖: guess what?!?!
Rossy😍💛: what gorgeous
Laurie😘💖: I got a call back
Rossy😍💛: WHAT NO WAY I'M SO PROUD OF YOU
Laurie😘💖: thank you
Rossy😍💛: I have something to tell you
Laurie😘💖: what is it???
Rossy😍💛: so the director Sydney called me... some how she got my number and since she liked our performance last night she wants me to come in tomorrow and read for the show
Laurie😘💖: no way Rossy that's amazing
Rossy😍💛: thanks Laurie
Vanessa: Laura come on let's hang out and we have to go pick up dad
Laura: be there in a sec
Laurie😘💖: sorry Rossy but I gotta go pick up my dad and Nessa wants to hang out
Rossy😍💛: alright well I'll probably see you tomorrow at the reading.... I love you
Laurie😘💖: I love you too bye
Rossy😍💛: bye
I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen to see Nessa reading a magazine
Laura: so I have a question for you and then I have to tell you something
Vanessa: alright shoot
Laura: did Sydney call you about a reading
Vanessa: I sure did... what about you??
Laura: yup and guess who else we know has a reading tomorrow
Vanessa: who?
Laura: Ross
Vanessa: what how??
Laura: well two weeks ago in Drama Mrs. Carmichael gave us an assignment that you have to do with 2-4 people and it was to do a scene or song from Funny Girl. So I picked just Ross and thought it would be fun to sing You Are Woman I Am Man together
Vanessa: wise choice
Laura: yeah and we had to perform it yesterday and apparently Mrs. Carmichael is friends with Sydney so she decided to bring her in and give us feed back and I think that's how Sydney thought she should give Ross a chance at acting in this show
Vanessa: that's so cool I'm happy for him
Laura: yeah me too
Vanessa: alright so we are going to hang out around the mall today and then I told dad that we would go and pick him up
Laura: alright let's go
