We all stood at the front of the pharmacy, watching as Izzy helped Jess walk down the road. I couldn't let Jess stay, she was a murderer now. I guess we all were. Scarlett rested a hand on my shoulder and sighed
"You've had a rough few days. Come inside." I stared off after Jess and Izzy. I did nothing to Scarlett who removed her hand off my shoulder and went inside. My thought wandered off to my parents and my little brother.
-Flashback-
"Chelsea! Chelsea!" My little brother called as I came home from school. I picked him up and hugged him
"How was Kinder today?"
"It was good!" He squeezed me harder into a tighter hug. I put him down and walked into my bedroom and dumped my bag in there. I walked into the kitchen where mum greeted me with a smile.
"How was school?" She asked cutting up more vegetables
"Yeah it was ok, I dropped a brain in science today." I grinned as she crossly looked at me
"You have to be more careful!" She said to me. I rolled my eyes and set the table for dinner. The truck suddenly rolled down the rocky road.
"Daddy!" Jake screamed happily launching his little body on the couch. Dad waved at him, Jake waves back giggling.
Mum puts dinner on the table as dad walks in the garage door. She smiles at him as mum kisses him on the cheek. We all sit down at the table.
"Me and your mother have decided we are going vacation with a group of other parents. Jakes coming with us so you'll be home by yourself!" My parents smiled and looked happy with the idea. I smiled back in excitement. It was a good idea.
-End of flashback-
Well it seemed like a good idea at the time. A single tear rolled down my cheek. That's all I had now, only memories of the people I loved most. Night began to fall and it got colder. I sighed and walked back inside Lewis sat staring at Adams body with sad eyes, Sarah sat by Niamh watching her and Scarlett checked Adams body for anything useful. She looked up at me and sheepishly smiled
"I thought I better check with everything going on and all. We should keep our supplies up." She dusted her hands off and handed me a photo. It was a photo of our whole class in year seven, that was a great year. I smiled down at the photo and put it in my pocket. I walked over to Niamh. I rested my hand on her head, no fever. Her eyes flickered for a minute before opening them I stumbled back wide eyed pushing Sarah back also. She mumbled something into the gag before trying to get out of the things that bound her wrists. I used my switch blade and cut the gag.
"Finally." She said to me
"How are you feeling?" I asked keeping my distance.
"Like I went to hell and back. But it turns out the way to hell is a dead end. I needed a new beginning." She shrugged. I think she was going to be ok
