LAUREN's P.O.V
We had landed in New York and we are on the way to our new home . Dad's making a few phone calls - it's probably about his work . On the other side , My sister was on her phone too . Not being bothered by what they are doing , I put on my headphone and closed my eyes .
"Lauren we're here " I felt my left shoulders shaking ceaselessly . I managed to gradually open my eyes though Im actually exhausted . I look out of the car window to see a house . It was modern - I would say . Not that big, not that small either , it was perfect for a family of 4 .. I mean make that 3 .
I went out of the car and ambled my way to the house . The living room itself was big , The kitchen too . I adjust my shoulder bag and made my way back to the living room .
" you wanna go and check your room ?" Dad said and I replied him with a nod . Dad lead the way as we went up the stairs . He stop at door that says 'Lauren's room' . He opened it and he signal me to go in first .
The room was a bit bigger than my room back home but the designs were
well-nigh alike . The only difference was that the ceiling didn't have the world map and that the wall behind my bed didn't have the airplane sticker .
"You like it ? ... I tried to make it look the same as back home " dad smiled
"Yea I like it , thanks a lot dad " I hug him
"Anything for you , well you should go unpack while I return to what I was doing " by the time dad finished his sentence , his phone vibrated and he excused himself . I sighed and started unpacking .
After unpacking , I took a shower and got change into some oversize shirt and sweat pants . I tied the sides of the shirt to make it look nicer . I lit up the scented candle that I had place on my side table and went down for dinner
"Tomorrow we will shop for furnitures and decorations " dad said as he took a sit and he continues, "since it's friday you guys will go to sch on Monday , I have already sent all your particulars to the school "
"How far is our new school" I asked
"Probably a few blocks away and we're quite near to a park too" dad said
Dad pretty much knew that I love going to the parks - it releases my stress away by just being in the atmosphere of nature . Dad also knew that wherever we stayed at , I would always have one place or a tree that I would often be at . My sister on the other hand , observed that I visit the parks and a cafe's quite a number of time , ever since mom's death I wasn't wholly myself - like a part of me has vanish
"Dad I think tomorrow I'm gonna go to the hospital first to check if they have any particulars of mom's death " I said
"Alright there's a hospital near here anyways "
We were done with dinner and we all headed back to our room . I realise that I was staring at the ceiling for quite sometimes . I adjust myself in bed and made myself comfortable
If it's for family .. I will do whatever it takes to find you
Soon enough I fell asleep.
