Chapter 14- Kiss is equivalent to awkward

He pulled out the stethoscope and gave me a smile as he looked me in the eye. I looked deep into his eyes, a playful mischief filled his eyes. He slowly pushed a lock of hair behind my ear as he leaned in,it took me a while to realize what was going on. He was going to kiss me. To be honest I didn't know what I wanted because to me my brain says to kiss him but my heart was telling me there's someone else for me, I felt like was rushing things,but the only problem was that my body was as stiff as a statue. I couldn't move. As his lips came closer the door swung open causing both of us to jump back. It was his secretary,

"Dr.Kingston, I need your signature for the box order of needles."

Wren awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck as he signed some paper. I let out a deep breath, because that was a close call. After the secretary left Wren slowly made his way towards me.

"Umm... your heartbeat is normal."

Yeah right it's been beating way too fast for the past two days, but obviously I didn't say that. Instead I simply just nodded. Just to let you know a little note for down the road...the awkwardness did not end there.

After Wren checked my weight and my pressure.

"Ready to see your baby?" he asked.

"Yes," I managed to say.

Wren told me to slow lay down, which I did. Once I got comfortable, Wren looked at me with wide eyes and turned red.

"Umm...your skirt." he pointed.

I was a bit confused at first, so I slightly looked up and saw my skirt dangerously close to revealing my underwear. I quickly pulled them down to an appropriate level. I mentally cursed myself for wearing a skirt to an ultrasound. Idiot.

"If I can get you to... um..." he mumbled as he gestured his hands towards me and as ran his hand threw is hair, to be honest it was quite confusing. Wren turned around having his back towards me and took a deep breath in and looked back at me. He slowly pulled up my shirt above my belly button and applied a cool gel on my bare stomach. I let out a tiny giggle as he looked up at me with a smirk. Great, now he thinks I'm sexually unstable. He took this "rolling device machiney type thing" (yes that is what I call it) and started rolling it on my as I stared at TV screen popped in front of me. After a couple of few quiet peaceful moment

"You see that? That your baby." Wren whispered, as he pointed at the screen. Even though the screen was blurry and I couldn't even tell the baby was human or not, tear of joy filled my eyes. It was beautiful to me, inside me was a precious jewel that no one can ever replace.

"I love him or her already," I whispered.Wren looked at me and smile. I would have stared for hours but Wren handed me a napkin for me to wipe of the remaining gel.

"You have class,remember." He teased. I rolled my eyes as I wiped the remaining gel off of me. I slowly rubbed my stomach. Maybe this baby won't be as bad as I thought.

"Thank you Wren," I gratefully said.

"No need to thank me, just doing my job." he shrugged.

"No, thank you for listening to me and for showing me my baby."

Wren smiled and I smiled back as I made my way to door and turned the knob,he grabbed my hand.

I turned my head around, Wren quickly dropped my hand and ran his hand threw his hair.

"Is something wrong?" I asked.
Wren looked into my eyes, searching for something. But I couldn't put my finger on it.

"S-sorry, I have no idea why I did that." He stammered.

"No biggie," I shrugged as I turned the door knob, I quickly looked back and said,

"Wren, if you don't mind but can you keep this a secret?" I gestured towards my stomach. He gave tiny smile and nodded.My secret was safe with him.

I slowly walked into the huge classroom sat down at my seat, and patiently waited for the professor to come just like the other students. There were more than 50 students in here. I looked down and I realized how I didn't talk to Emily for a while. I pulled out my phone and I went over to Skype and saw just the person I was looking for Emilytheteddybear was online. I heart swooped the second I saw her online. Just when I was about to press dial Mr.Kane; our professor walked in and started droning on and on about the history of art. Trust it was just as boring as it had sound. I was trying my best to focus until something hit me, no really something did. I looked down and say a crumbled piece if paper beside me, I reached over and picked it up and straightened it. There was a message scrawled on the paper:
Class is boring huh?

I looked around to see who threw it at me. My eyes landed on a boy with dirty blind hair and shiny blue eyes looking at me and smirking. I have a feeling it was him. He slowly got up and sat beside me.

"Hey" he whispered.

"Hi," I whispered back.

"Boring huh?" he gestured towards the teacher.

"Total waste of time." I rolled my eyes.

"Stefan," he introduced himself.

"Aria," I smiled back.

"Wanna ditch?"

Oh so he's bad boy. The thing is it's the first day and I don't want to screw up.

"Come on it will be fun!" he urged.

"Fine" I gave in.

I mean if you were in that class you'd understand.

"Let's go beautiful," he winked.

I winked back, if Ezra can move on why can I? But little did I know this was another mistake to add to my never ending list of mistakes.
