Jacobs POV~

I called her darling. Am I stupid? Even better, I invited her to move in with me. Wow. But I couldn't help it. I could see the sadness in her eyes. The pain. The misery.
The depression.
What's wrong?
Lindsey's ticking me off. She won't leave Adrenaline alone and it's hurting me to see her this way. I keep finding Adrenaline hiding alone crying to herself. I even found her in the park, laying in the snow.
in SHORTS AND A TANK TOP.
she didn't even move. She didn't say a word. I stood there for a minute before picking her up in my arms and holding her tightly. He started to cry softly, and I did my best to provide warmth for her.
Damn, she's freezing.
What's happening?
I took her to my house and wrapped her in blankets, while I made her hot coffee. I hope he's okay. She hasn't said a word, she just sat there shivering violently. And then I noticed, since normally her arms were covered by her sleeves, I'd never seen her bare arms before. Her entire arms were covered, and I mean COVERED, in painful scars. Some were older looking, and some looks fresh. . I gasped. She didn't even move.
Adrenalines POV~

He found me in the park, my poorly dressed body buried in snow. I didn't say anything, i was numb. I was overwhelmed.
Jake picked me up holding me warmly and soon we were at his house. I hadn't noticed I was crying into his chest, but it felt good for him to be there. Holding me.
I know what your thinking.why are you so sad? Here's why. Lindsey. School.
My DAD.
I'm shivering a lot as Jacob hands me a steaming cup of coffee and I quickly sip it. I'm wrapped in blankets, the work of Jacob. Honestly I don't see why he cares so much. I'm an ugly little looser with daddy issues and I self harm. So why does he insist?
Suddenly I hear a pained gasp escape from Jacob and he's staring at my wrists. I look up from my mug of coffee and meet his eyes then following his stare, down to my scarred arms. Other than that, I don't move.
Jacobs POV~

I felt my eyes pool with tears as I choked out her name, unable to stop my quiet sobs.
"Adrenaline?!" I mumble through sobs. She meets my gaze. She doesn't even seem bothered, as if it was perfectly normal. As if he was used to her scars. As if she was fine with it. And maybe she was. Is she that hurt inside, to where she turns on her arms to release the pain?
I nod to myself. That's what's going on. I stand up and look at her for a moment, before hugging her tightly. She bries her face in my chest and soon she's sobbing too. I gently stoke her head and hair.
"Adrenaline?" I ask quietly. She sniffles.
"Yes?"
"It's going to be okay. I've got you now. Don't cry sweety. I..I've got you" I whisper, and she just nods.
I take her upstairs to my room and tuck her in my bed. I head to the door shutting it quietly, while my mind races. She's asleep in my bed, shivering still. After a few hours of laying on my couch, with Netflix blurring in the background of my thoughts, I decide to go to bed too. Exhausted, I was up to my room opening the door gently, and stepping in silently. I lay down on my bed, keeping my distinct from Adrenaline, trying not to wake her. I gently lift her arm, I laying on my side facing her, I stroke my thumb up and down her scarred arms softly. I fall asleep sadly. I'm going to fix this.
Adrenalines POV~

I wake up feeling loads better but i realize I'm still shivering. I look around and notice Jake is also here. He's awake and when he sees I'm now conscious, he smiles weakly.
