Riley's POV
My dad drove Auggie and I to the hospital. He spent the whole trip telling use how mom is really tired, and she is very protective of the babies and stuff like that. I was almost 9 when Auggie was born, and I babysit. Like, i know how to take care of a child!
I held Auggies hand as we crossed the street. We walked to moms room and carried all the bags of things such people got for the twins. My dad carried the two car seats out to the car. My mom volunteers, of course, yet my dad won't let the half asleep zombie carry over 20 pounds at this moment.
About ten minutes later we arrive home. Family and a few close friends were there for a small party.
"Shawny!" My dad yelled nearly dropping Caitlyn and Alex's car seats. He sat them down by the doorway. Probably not the best idea. I picked the seats up and took them over to the couch. My mom sat down next to them. Her and Katy began to play with the baby's. Maya and I watched.
Suddenly we heard a bang on the door. My dad ran to get it.
"Uncle Eric!" Auggie said excitedly.
"I'm just here for the cake!" Eric said.
"Well I guess we can cut it now." I said.
"Can I have your attention!" I yelled, "today we are here to celebrate 2 new life's. Welcome to the world Caitlyn Lynn and Alexandrea Morgan!"
I began to cut the cake and hand it out. Eric unsurprisingly took 2 pieces. After everyone finished the cake, my dad noticed my mom was getting tired. He called the party to the end. I watched to guest leave. Before you knew it, the only people left were Maya,and Shawn. My mom went to her room to take a nap. I noticed the twins were also getting tired. Maya and I took them to there rooms. They soon feel asleep. I took the baby monitor to my room, and Maya and I watched random music videos. Everything was perfect. I had friends, great parents and 3 siblings. It couldn't get any better. And if I could predict the future, I'd hope to see it'd stay this way.
