Hi guys so this is my first story in this genre but I hope you guys like it. It's definitely not the best haha but anyway enjoy!
Oh and please don't take any of my characters or anything like that blah blah blah you get the drill anyway here is the story of a player and a not so good girl.
~~~
I had written stories about high school summers several times before, each one being what I had expected to happen but in reality it was the exact opposite of every detail I had imagined. Literally.
I had expected for my before junior year summer to be great and exciting, spending all my time with my closest friends. But really I just spent the first month and a half running around the state playing in softball tournaments and the rest was spent letting my social life widdle away to almost nothing.
That was supposed to be the summer. The promised summer where life starts to kick in and things begin to happen for the near seniors entering the world of reality.
My friends either got jobs or relationships that were bound to last. While I, moped about my house seeing little of my friends and getting slowly but noticeably rejected.
I'm like most girls my age, stuck at that stage where puberty hadn't quite smacked you in the face yet. My appearance is safe to say, bland; chest length dirty blonde hair with a purple, green, blue, and whatever shade of color you can get out of those in a dip dyed look (give me at least something right), green-blue eyes, and five foot nine with minimal fashion sense.
Let's just say junior year has been less than eventful. I've managed to maintain two steady friendships throughout the duration of the first semester and a half and have constant on and off acquaintances.
I'm that girl that everyone goes too for help with just about anything. I mean anything. Most of them though come for relationship advice. I've gotten a widely known nickname, the love doctor. I hate it. It's truly weird that they come to me for advice when I haven't had a relationship in my life that lasted more than a week for fucks sake!
But my advice seems to work and people still come to me for the words of love as they call it.
Anyway it's the day before my last official concert of the school year and to say the least, I'm dreading it. Not because I'm scared for the concert itself (well maybe a little) but that I'm going to miss it. Band is my passion and I love having it as a fallback for myself, I always look forward to band class.
Then there's my friends, my lovely, loud, annoying and excited friends. Speaking of.
"Bizz...B! Bailynn! Hey snap out of it!" I see a hand waving in front of my face and I focus my eyes on none other than my best friend. "Sorry D, I got distracted." She scoffs, "You need to quit with your daydreaming it's gonna get ya one of these days.""Yeah, but I'll have you to save me right?" I say with a wink. This is Dallas, she's my badass bitch that I had the pleasure of meeting ten years ago. She's a couple inches shorter than me with shoulder length dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. She always dresses in kind of a don't fuck with me type way but I love her all the more.
"So you gonna flirt with Ash tonight as promised?" Dallas pipes up. I shake my head with a chuckle as we continue down the hall towards Calculus. "No! You know that him and I are just getting to be good friends, nothing more. Plus, he's like the hottest fucking guy out off the whole Junior class." I say shaking my head. "Come on, you know that he at least finds you intriguing otherwise he wouldn't even be befriending you."
"He could just be trying to have a female friend that's not there for just the 'whole Asher experience', ya ever think about that." She bursts out laughing, clutching her stomach while replying "Whole Asher experience' yeah I'm pretty sure that's just what girls like to tell everybody, he probably doesn't even kiss half these whores who say they have."
I couldn't help but smile at that. She's right every girl in the Junior class has said at least something about hooking up with Asher. He's so undeniably cheeky and a sweet talker that even college girls have tried to get with him to which he happily obliged. Cringe.
"Well I don't care I'm not gonna be one of his whores who he fucks then moves on the day after I'm just gonna continue being his friend whether you agree with me or not. We both laugh and saunter our way into calculus, taking our seats side by side toward the middle-back of the class.
Our high school is slightly newer so these classrooms aren't your typical two door, large, teachers desk front and center class, no. We have pods in which there's the main pod in the middle of several classrooms each their own of course but all different sizes.
We have weird cheap ass desks that the chairs aren't connected and at the front is a white board along with a smart board. Also our lockers are in a room at the front off the pod and hallways don't actually have classrooms on the side they have entrances to pods. It's so weird. But whatever works I suppose.
"So today is just a worksheet day, we have two at the front and in roughly twenty minutes I'll put the key on the front table for you to check your work. If I see you working well and hard I will give you twenty extra credit points." Mrs. Moor is my favorite teacher and she loves me. I've never had less than a B in this class it is so great cause' I rarely do my homework but she gives me the points anyway because I still end up doing well on tests.
I walk up to the front grabbing the worksheets for both Dal and I. "B! Grab me one too!" I look towards the source of the voice and narrow my eyes to a glare once I see whom it is. "Garrett, get off your lazy ass and get it your own damn self." I spit.
"Awe come on B, that's no way to talk to your lover." He smirks at me and I let out a chuckle, "Only in your wildest dreams lover boy." He shoots me a smirk and I settle myself in my seat by Dal.
"I honestly don't know how you get so many very hot guys to flirt with you yet you don't even acknowledge it." Dal says while snatching the worksheets from my hands.
Honestly I'm not quite sure as to why I don't acknowledge them. I suppose it's just that I don't want to be their "plaything". Plus, they are hilarious as they are. It's fantastic being able to bull shit back and forth with them and have girls gawking at me with a look saying, "the nerve!". It's comical really.
"D, now what fun would it be if I actually did." She shakes her head smirking, "None."
