I wake up and see Aug sitting in a chair next to the bed I'm layin in

I looked at him in confusion then sat up

August: Baby I need you to stop blocking what happen to you and let it go
I'm really confused as to what's going on

A flash a lighting went across the sky and behind that came loud ass thunder. I start to remember seeing me get ready for his show
Lexi: What happen after your show
August: What show
Lexi: The last thing I remember is the lights being out because of the storm and you had a show
August: Ok Lexi that's what I need you to remember what happen after the lights went out

I thought about my stomach and looked down

August: She's at home with Dj and Ti
Home? Ok I'm really confused now
Lexi: I don't remember having her but I remember earlier...

My eyes swelled with tears

I looked around the room, it looks like my dream with the two nurses

August pulls out his phone then shows it to me

I looked at him then the phone, those stairs I remember, I grabbed it and scroll thru the pictures then all at once everything just hits me

I break down, holdin his phone to my chest
Lexi: He's after me August I've been havin too many bad dreams about him
August: I wouldn't have believed you earlier but now that I kno he escaped from prison

Lexi: I gotta get out of here

I get up and put on a jacket over this thin ass hospital gown
August: Stay here I'll be back
I sigh and sit on the bed. I waited for about ten minutes before getting up to go find him. I walked towards the light of the front desk but I didn't see anyone. I tried to walk around the corner but I tripped over a foot
Lexi: August
I got down and turned him over. I checked his breathing and heart. Once I felt him breathing I searched for his phone but found his gun
Lexi: The room..
I get up to go get his phone and I held on to his gun. One thing about having a crazy ass brother and a crazy dude, you'll never go without lessons on how to shoot.
Lexi: Ima be right back baby
I crept down the hall holding the gun, ready for whatever came at me. I get to my room and see his phone on the bed. I got to grab it and tried to dial 911
Chris: Lexi
I laid the phone on the bed and stood up, turned around then he slapped me, throwing me across the bed, I dropped the gun. I immediately stood up
Lexi: You need help
Chris: But you're the one here
Lexi: Because of yo...
He lunged at me, I crawled across the bed and grabbed the gun
Chris: Wanna check your bullets
I looked at the gun then back at him
Chris: Go ahead call my bluff
I pulled the trigger, fuck. I turned around and took off, he chased me. I ran down the hall and hid in this utility closet. I looked around for something that could help me. All I seen were chemicals and mops and brooms. I went a little further and seen these hospital sweatpants and a white shirts. I laid the gun down and took off my jacket and gown to put the clothes on, then I stuffed the gun in my pants. He wiggled the door handle and I grabbed the nearest spray bottle and held on to it. When he opened the door I wouldn't let my finger off the sprayer. He held his hand up and I pushed passed him and ran down the hall. I ended up where the emergency stairs were and tried to go upstairs, Chris came behind me. I ran up the stairs but I slipped, my bare feet probably had something to do with that. He grabbed at my ankle and I took the heel of my other foot and kicked him twice in the nose. I ran up to the second level.
Lexi: Where the hell is everybody at
I ran to a desk and tried to use the phone, nothing but a dial tone.
Lexi: Fux man
I looked around, there is not one sign of any nurse or doctor in here. I hide in the office behind the counter and ramble thru it. I looked in the closet
Lexi: Why does this doctor have a 4 by 4 thick ass piece of wood in his closet
Then next to it was a metal Louisville slugger, I grab it then peaked out the door to make sure he's wasn't out there. I came from behind the counter and looked both ways. On each end there were big ass windows. I looked left again then stepped from behind the counter. I turned to go back downstairs and Chris was standing at the end of the hall, lightning flashed by the window giving his silhouette a dark glow. I held the bat in my hand
Lexi: Im not scared of you
Chris: Ima call your bluff now
Lexi: I'm not pregnant this time come on
He ran at me and when he got close enough I took and swung that bat making contact with his face. He fell to the ground and I kept hittin him. He looked dazed so I ran back downstairs and start lookin for anything that could help me. I look behind the front counter then I heard Chris walking towards me, I hid under the counter. He ran his nails across the top it.
Chris: Ohhh Lexi
I closed my eyes then my foot slipped and hit something. I pulled it back fast and peaked pass my eye lid just little
Lexi: Oh m...
I covered my mouth, Oscar was dead. I quietly patted him down looking for a phone and found one. I here Chris's footsteps comin in my direction so I crawl the opposite way. I hit a couple of walls to throw him off as to where I'm at, he went down the hall. Once I'm in the clear I run over to August and grab his extra clip.
Lexi: In his words never leave home without it
I check to make sure he was still breathing then kissed his forehead. I used Oscar's phone to text Big T and Dj then called the police again
911: 911 operator
Lexi: I'm at the Central State Hospital and Christopher Warren is here trying to kill
911: Ma'am what is your name
Lexi: Lexi Wilson please hurry he's already hurt my boyfriend and killed the guy that runs this place overnight
911: Ok Lexi try to stay on the phone do you know where he is now
Lexi: Somewhere in the hospital
The storm was getting worse and the wind was blowing rain and leaves into the front room.
911: What about the other patients
Lexi: I'm sure they're all doped up and sound asleep
Chris grabs me by the hair and snatches the phone away. I scratched at his hands to get him to release me. He drags me to the lounge area and tosses me across the room and made me hit my head. He walks on the opposite side of the chair I fell into
Chris: All you had to do was be with me
Lexi: Chris
Chris: Shut the fuck up
His voice roared in sync with the thunder and the sound of the rain hitting the windows.
Chris: You kno whats funny
Lexi: I'm sure you're gonna tell me
I grab the gun out my pants and tried to quietly slide the clip in
Chris: When I sent Amber to plant the bomb she put it in your car instead of August's range
Lexi: Thats why you killed her
Chris: Amongst other reasons
It thundered again and I cocked the gun, I guess he heard it
Chris: You know how to use that thing
I stood up while pointing the gun at him and slowly cirlced around to where I was by the double doors and he was in front of the sitting area's bay windows
Lexi: Better than you think
Chris: We'll see about that
Thunder bellowed thru the room and lightning went across the window behind Chris. He charged at me and I pulled the trigger. He flew back into the window, shattering it while falling thru to the ground. I walked closer to look outside and he was laid out on the ground beat up with six bullet holes in his chest. I went and checked his pulse, he's dead. I ran to August and pulled him into my lap. He coughed
Lexi: Baby
He smiled and I kissed him
August: You got him
I laughed and my tears hit his face
Lexi: Yea I did
He wiped my eyes, then we seen blue and red lights and Dj and Big T. August smiled
August: We goin home now
I laughed and nodded my head
Lexi: Yea
