Luke and I have been getting along well.
I'm helping him with the wedding.
He gave me the color that she wanted so I got everything ready for the reservation.
I was hoping the wedding got cancelled or something but I'm starting to see it wont happen.
"Do you think she will like this?" Luke asked holding up roses he bought to put on the tables.
"I think they are pretty" I said.
"Ugh!" He put his face in his hands.
"Sorry" I continued to fix the decorations.
"I'll be back, I need fresh air"
I nodded my head.
I was looking at how we can arrange the settings.
I kind of know how to properly set a table so I can do it my self so he doesn't have to pay anyone. I just don't know how he wants the tables to be set.
And I have no ideas how many people he has invited.
"ELIZABETH!" Luke came running in. He startled me because I was thinking about the tables.
"What?" I asked confused.
"We have to go now!" He pulled me.
"What's going on?" I ask.
"Jasmine" he quickly said.
"What happened?"
"I don't know. She called me saying she was in so much pain." His voice cracking at the end. "Beau is taking her to hospital. We are meeting them there" we got to the car.
In no time like had parked and ran inside the building. I ran after him.
I hope nothing bad has happened.
I saw him running up the staircase, I followed.
I got tired running so many flights so I just walked the rest. I'll text Beau and ask what floor they are in.
I got to the sixth floor. I exited the staircase and walked around. Maybe I could find someone outside.
I saw Luke walking back and fourth in front of a door.
I walked up to him and saw Beau sitting there tapping his foot rapidly.
I sat down next to Beau.
I didn't say anything.

Luke had been in that room for almost two hours now.
"Do you know what happened?" I asked Beau.
"I don't know but I think it has something to do with the baby" he said.
The door opened. Both beau and I quickly stood up. Luke walked out with no emotion. I walked up to him and tried giving him a hug but he shook his head.
"She almost lost the baby" Luke looked down. "I wasn't there to protect her or help her" he said.
"She's okay now. That's all the matters. The baby is fine" I said.
"Maybe, we still don't know if the baby will make it. She has to stay in hospital for a week."
"Oh, what about the wedding planning?" I asked.
"That's not important right now. You can do it. Ask someone to help you. I trust you with everything" he said.
"So that's what you two been doing together?" Beau asked.
"Yeah?" I looked at him confused.
"I can help you out when I'm not working. Jai will probably help too. I can ask Daniel and James" Beau said.
"Don't worry about a thing Luke. Jasmine will be just fine and the baby will make it. The wedding will go as planned" I smiled at him.
I saw tears welling up on his eyes so hugged him.
I hugged back. I can't get used to his touch. I shouldn't be like this right now.
I removed myself from his embrace and looked at him. I placed either hand on his cheeks. My thumb cleaned the tears that had managed to fall.
"Everything will be just fine" I whispered.
He smiled and nodded his head.
"I should get going" Beau said awkwardly.
"Me too" I said.
"Call me if you need anything" Beau said to Luke.
We said our goodbyes. I followed Beau out of the hospital.
"I always thought you and Luke were fucking each other because you two go out often" beau said.
I laughed at his choice of words.
"Wedding planning" I said.
"Why are you doing it?" He asked.
"Because Luke was stressed out about it" I said.
"But don't you wish it was your wedding you were planning?" He asked.
"I do but I can't do anything about it. He is marrying her in a month and a half."
"What if he doesn't want to marry her anymore"
"Laughing so hard" I said. "That clearly isn't true."
"You are so blind. Both of you" he laughed. "It's obvious you two still have feelings for each other. You admitted that you did, but he hasn't but we all know it's true"
"It's not true so shut up!"

This week as gone by so slow. I haven't seen Luke since Monday and it's already Monday again.
I was still organizing everything. Beau was clearly no help since he just went in there to break four of the vases. I made him go buy me new ones.
Jai was a really good help. He has an amazing imagination.
James has offered to DJ for the night. And Daniel has offered to lift things. That's what he said.
So I made him move the tables to where they were going to be at.
The tables and chairs weren't enough so I had to rent more.
"This looks sick, I just wished it was yours and Luke's wedding" I heard Jai from behind me.
"Apparently everyone has gone to meetings so you all can say the same thing" I chuckled.
"Who else said it?"
"Beau, James and Daniel."
He smiled.
I look at my phone that has vibrated.
I need to see you. I can't go another day without seeing your beautiful face
I re-read the message.
"Why you smiling?" Jai asked.
"Oh what?" I looked up.
He raised an eyebrow.
"Nothing" I smiled at him.
"Suuuure"
Wait for me a Starbucks
Okay?
"I think we should call it a day?" I ask Jai.
"Yeah"
He kept looking at me but I ignored him.
"And who got you smiling so much?" He asked.
"My ex" I lied.
He nodded his head.
I guess he believed it.
