Chapter 13- COOKIES!!!

Chapter 13

Nikkis POV
My eyes fluttered open at the wonderful smell that filled my nostrils.

Then thats when i realize the smell.

THEY.WHERE.COOKIES!!!

I jumped out of bed in 2.5 seconds and was in the kitchen in 3 seconds.

"Who has cookies i smell cookies!!!" I yell at the person bent over the oven but then i realize it's not Avery cooking the cookies but a much more attractive human being.

Nash.

He had just stood up and had a batch of freshly baked cookies on his oven mitt covered hand.

"Well, good morning to you too beautiful" he smirked and winked at me as he turned back around and placed the batch on the counter and bent down to grab the other one with his right hand and turned off the heat with the other hand.

"Not that I'm complaining or anything but.....Why are you baking cookies this early?" I asked while getting on my tippy toes and trying to peek at the cookies but failed to look over his tall figure.

"Cam broke my oven... Please don't ask how!" He stated while trying to look serious but he was failing.

"Yea I'm not even gonna say anything" i chuckled as i tried to take another peek over Nash's shoulder.

"Good idea, so i guess you want cookies?" He asked with a challenging smirk on his face.

For a second i just stared at his face the way his lip curled up at the end into a swift smooth smirk the way his cheeks were the perfect shade of rose pink and his eyes oh my god his eyes the way they sparkled with that baby blue color and that challenging look in his eyes and i was certainly willing to take that challenge.

"Is that a challenge?" I ask with my own smirk now placed on my face as i took a step forward.

"You bet" he said eyebrows raised with surprise at my courageous step forward.

"Well then may the best win" my smirk grew knowing that i was going to win this and get my cookies.

And thats when i knew i was going to have to step my game up.
