what happened,
to my spirit?
it feels broken,
split into pieces,
crumbled to dust,
and blown away,
lost in the wind.
my spirit,
has wandered away,
searching for peace,
it will never find,
desperately trying,
to be happy,
a fruitless effort,
my best days,
were for naught,
just a waste,
of my time,
of my life,
of my energy,
why bother?
there's nothing there,
but my battered soul,
and my broken spirit.
