My eyes slowly fluttered open as I didn't see Kayla with me anymore, I heard people shouting downstairs I was going to go down and see what was going on but before I opened the door I heard light sniffles, I looked to the left of my room and saw Kayla hugging herself in the corner, my heart shattered she looked so upset and scared, I quickly ran over to her
"Oh my gosh baby! What's wrong?" I asked as I pulled her into my arms holding her like a baby
"M-my da-daddy is shouting at JJ" she cried into my chest
"Awww, it's okay babygirl, sometimes adults just get angry with each other, don't worry okay, I'm here" I said as I rocked her
"Fank you BB, I lub you" she said putting her head in my neck
"I love you too baby" I said, I hugged her tighter than usual and she winced in pain "Ooooowwww!!" she screamed
Before I could ask what was wrong, her dad busted through the door and Kayla jumped, she held onto me tighter, I looked down at her and she had the same fear I had when I saw Micheal....Then it clicked..the pain she felt when I hugged her was a bruise, I think her dad beats her...
"Come on Kayla, we're leaving now!" he said with anger
Kayla just held onto me tighter and tighter not wanting to let go
"Kayla baby, your daddy's not angry with you, he won't hurt you" I said calmly, suddenly I felt my cheek wet, I looked and saw Kayla crying, this is when I knew her dad hurts her.
"BB d-don't ma-make me go wi-with him, h-he hurts me, pleaaasseee BB" she cried and she whispered in my ear
"KAYLA COME ON I WONT TELL YOU AGAIN" her father shouted
"Um, Kayla is going to stay here with me and Jay for a bit, she wants to finish what we were playing, I'll bring her home later" I said nervously to her dad, Jay looked at me confused
"Whatever" he said as he walked out the house, I sighed in relief as a Kayla silently cried
"It's okay baby, he's gone" I said as I rubbed her back lightly, she just nodded and continued sniffing, I turned her around and lifted up her shirt, I gasped as tears filled my eyes, she had a massive purple bruise on her back, I felt the tears streaming down my face, I've only known this little girl for a day, but I think of her as my own.
"Oh my gosh" I whispered as I glided my hand over it, just then Jay walked in and stood there shocked and teary eyed. He ran over to me
"My baby! Oh my gosh, who done this to you Kay?!" He asked sad but angrily
"Daddy.." She whispered, but still sniffing, she turned around and put her hands up for me to lift her up, I picked her up and rocked her like a baby
"Hell nawwww, I'm gonna kill him!!" Jay said as he stood up and was about to walk away
"JJ, downt lweave, I want you to sway wif me and BB" she said
I could see Jay really wanted to beat his ass but he stayed because Kayla wanted him to. We sat down on the sofas with Kayla in my arms and Jay on the opposite chair, we asked Kayla some questions
"Kay, how long has daddy been hurting you?" Jay asked calmly
"Umm, I don't know maybe 2 mots" she said putting her head down, Jay clenched his jaw
"Is it just daddy?" I asked her, she shook her head
"Mommy as well?" I said, she nodded letting tears fall
"Oh my god I can't believe Sharon would do this to her!" He shouted getting up and leaving slamming the door. Kayla looked up at me with tears eyes.
"BB?" She said
"Yes baby?"
"Do you lub me?" She asked, that made my heart melt, of course i loved her, she's like the daughter I never had
"Of course I do Kay, why would you ask that?"
"Cos mommy and daddy neber say it to me, dey call me stupid and say I should neber been born" she said sadly
I can't believe her parents would say such a thing, I'm going to take care of Kayla and help her
"We'll all you need to know is that me and JJ love you a lot, don't ever forget it, okay?"
"Yesh, I lub you too, but BB I don't wan to go back home" she said looking me in the eyes
"It's okay babygirl, you can stay right here with me and JJ, yeah?"
"Really??!!, I wout lub to, tank you BB!" She said hugging my neck
"It's fine, I'm going to protect you baby" I said hugging her back
"Tank you BB, I lub you so much, your more lik a mommy to me than my weal mommy" she said with her head in my chest, when she said that it made me feel so good, I feel like her mommy
"Aww, Thankyou Kay and I love you too" We went upstairs and layer on the bed with Kay on my chest and her legs wrapped around my waist.
I wondered where Jay was, I hope he's not hurt, me and Kay fell asleep until I heard the door close....
