Hey.! New update! Enjoy!

(Ayee anyone like the new cover? Took me awhile to make but it was worth it. I lovee it.)

______

Calum.

I woke up, dizzy. I coughed, my throat stinging along with my eyes hurting. I felt my heart beating rapidly, as if it could tear a hole in my chest.

I put all of my strength into opening my eyes, but it still hurt.

"Come on Calum."

Once my eyes could fully open, I could see that I was the same room as I was in before. The tan walls, the white door, the queen sized bed with the fluffy pillows and matching tan bed sheets and pillows. I looked to my right to see a small brown table with a bowl and a syringe.

I tried to stand up, but was quickly stopped. I was tied down to a chair with my wrists tied down to the armrests. I pulled at them, only to see that they were tied tightly down. I groaned in frustration then leaned back into the chair.

I then looked down at my waist, seeing another rope tied around my waist and around the chair. My breathing quickened as I realized how well they trapped me here. Even my sharper instincts and enhanced senses couldn't help me now.

My eyes trailed up my right arm, seeing the sleeve of my red flannel pulled up with a needle taped down and inserted into my skin that was connected to a small tube with a rubber band around my upper arm. I saw a red liquid in flow out of my body, through the tube, and into a blood bag that sat into a pocket on the side of the chair.

I felt my dizziness and worry worsen as more blood was taken from me and put into a blood bag.

I quickly looked around, breathing quickly as I continued to pull my wrists free, trying to find a way out. I needed a way out. I had to. There was no way I was giving any more of my blood to that monster.

"Calum, Calum Hood. We meet again."

I looked ahead of me, seeing Connor sitting on the couch that was across from the bed.

"What are you doing to me?" I asked, looking down at the needle in my arm.

"Taking your blood," he simply replied.

"But you need me alive. Why are you going to drain me of my blood if you need me alive?" I asked.

"Oh I'm not completely draining you. Why would I? You're the key to completing the prophecy. But I'm just two blood bags, then I'm taking more of what I need for The Ritual after, and even more during The Ritual process," Connor replied.

"But how? Luke marked me," I whispered.

"Hailee found a loophole. Now, Luke's mark means nothing. We can use you in any way we want to, including the fact that we can now take your blood," Connor replied.

I looked down, continuing to see more blood leave me. I couldn't. I wouldn't allow him to.

"I refuse to give you any more of my blood," I grunted as I started to pull on my wrists again, trying to free myself, then looking up at him with pleading eyes, "you can have the blood you already took from me. Just please, let me go."

Connor shook his head then smirked.

"The amount of blood I take from you is not for you to decide. But no. I'm not going to stop now. You have something important I need, and I intend on taking it. So don't bother pulling or trying to escape. It's not going to work."

Connor paused.

"Think about it Calum. I'm the first vampire. You're a human, protected by death by a life force tie with a prophecy. You were destined to be the one, a supernatural weapon, a weapon meant to be controlled by those who wish to use you. You and I were meant to fight together."
