cyan colored waters,
whiplash and white-outs,
and a black one-piece suit
you are the ocean
and i am just a pool
you are loud and salted waves
vast and unchartered
while i am merely chlorinated mediocrity
encased in tiles and cement
you are ten-foot tall waves
while i'm air bubbles rising to the top
you will only swallow me whole
but it's better than sinking
