Before becoming an idol, Maizono was actually a tomboy with social anxiety. She went to therapy and when she told her therapist that she loved singing, and her therapist ended up referring her to a small choir group where Maizono would meet her future band mates. They were all more conventionally feminine than she was and helped Maizono come out of her shell and ultimately overcome her internalized misogyny. Afterwards, Maizono and her band mates all try to slip in feminist lyrics occasionally.
