I couldn't get it out of my mind.
Every time I had a second to spare my mind would drift back to that night.
"Ciel~..." I shivered. He'd never called me by my name before. I could almost feel his heated breath lingering on my ear.
I needed to do something.
"Seb- no... Finny!" I'd barely been able to look at Sebastian the last three days, let alone speak to him normally.
However whenever I was around Bard or Mey-Rin I just wanted to... Eat them. But Finny was not a normal human and I found his presence easier to bear.
I heard a crashing ruckus outside my workroom doors before a loud knock shook the frame.
"Enter." The doors opened to a slightly more than usual, disheveled Finny.
"What did you break this time?" He opened his mouth to answer when I held my hand up.
"Never mind, I'm sure I don't want to know." He closed his mouth, relieved.
"Now go tell the stable master to ready a horse. I feel like a late night jaunt."
"Aye aye sir!" He held his hand to his head in a clumsy salute and spun to leave.
"I'll get Sebastian to-"
"Finnian." He froze before warily turning back to me. I could feel my eyes almost glowing. I turned my chair so I was facing the window. The light of the waning moon caressing my face.
"Y-yes Master?" I could hear his voice quivering."
"Sebastian doesn't need to know everything does he?"
"Oh but-" I could see my eyes flare in the reflection of the window.
"Does he?" I could sense his fear. He'd probably caught a glimpse of the scarlet glare from the window.
"N-no sir! I'll see to the preparations myself."
"Good boy. Hurry along now, don't keep me waiting." He scurried out if the room like a scared mouse.
I needed to get out of this place. I needed fresh air and the moon on my face. And no other humans or demons to fuss about. I stood and snuck to the stables where my finest ebony stallion was waiting. I had issued Sebastian to find me a horse as black as his heart and wild as the fires of hell and he brought me this wild beast. He was beautiful though, and he had never hurt me or disobeyed my orders. Unlike another stallion I know.
I approached him cautiously, suddenly not sure if a demon riding a horse was actually a good thing.
"Hello Stygian. I'm sorry I haven't been to see you as of late." As I neared him his eyes darted to mine and I froze.
He didn't have a soul.
"What the Hell?" That damned demon actually gave me a demon horse.
"Son of a-..." Son of a what?
I sighed. I wanted to kill him.
"Stygian we're leaving." As I hopped into the saddle I felt something odd. I felt what Stygian felt.
"And now I'm a horse whisperer. Marvelous." It's almost felt as if he wanted to roll his eyes at me. I tsked in irritation and urged him forward, finding all I had to do was want to go and he felt my desire and obeyed.
"I read about this once. Imprinting, isn't it? Though I don't think it's supposed to be quite so personal." He grunted at me.
"Well then, let's get out of here." And with that we took off into the night.
