I collapsed into the bed.
I still felt tears cascading down my cheeks.
"Fool. I told you-" My wavering breath caught, it didn't even matter anymore.
Sebastian looked up as he heard me speak brokenly.
But then he froze. His eyes widened I shock. Was my crying that surprising?
"Young Mas- no, Ciel..."
"And now the last of your worthfulness is gone. You don't listen to orders, you do everything for your own gain, and now you've ceased to even call your master by the appropriate title." I couldn't take it any more.
"Get out."
"But your eyes-"
"Get. Out!" I pushed him roughly.
"Wait Ciel-"
"That's an order!" He stilled, an order had to be obeyed. He backed off the bed as if against his will and backed to the door, never taking his eyes off me. He opened the door, his face strained like he was fighting the order seriously.
Knowing he wouldn't win he looked back at me, his expression unreadable.
"Just, look in the mirror. Please." And then he disappeared behind the door.
I slowly redressed myself and sat on the bed for a moment. Sebastian saying please wasn't very common either.
I decided to look in the mirror out of curiosity, surely he couldn't still be talking about my tears?
As I neared the mirror I wiped my face and steadied myself. If something had made Sebastian act like that then if better be prepared.
I stepped in front of the mirror.
And I froze.
And then my legs gave out.
My eyes were glowing.
Glowing blue.
"What the-?" My voice was more like a whisper as a fragment of the important question shakily made its way through my lips.
My eyes were bright blue. They glowed more vividly than the azure sky.
They glowed like a demons should. But they were blue. I couldn't wrap my head around it.
This had even surprised Sebastian. Was it bad? Did he know what it was? Sebastian knew everything, he had to be able to explain it.
Yes, I'll go ask Sebastian.
I stood like a baby deer taking his first steps: clumsily and haphazardly. Staring into the mirror the whole time.
But then suddenly there was someone staring back.
In the corner of the mirror, standing in the shadows of the navy curtains, shielded from the moonlight, was a tall man with acidic green eyes.
Eyes like Grell's.
A Shinigami's eyes.
I jerked around. How had he gotten in here? How long had he been here? How had neither of us noticed him? Who was he?
"I'll answer all- well, most of your questions later, but for now..." And then he was in front of me, our faces not a foot apart. He smiled darkly and manically.
"You're coming with me."
