Chapter 13: Future Unknown.

The Time Ship.
Over Southern California.
(Wes's POV)
The time ship flew in the direction of our next destination and the final piece of the Time Plate, it was a peaceful journey apart from the smoke the we could sometimes see through the from window of the ship and then a wave of energy struck the ship and the evil feeling that came from it was intense, so intense that it felt like I was burning up inside,
Morphing Grid Access Terminated.
The computer announced as we passed over the ruins of Silver Hills, indicating we were halfway to our destination,
"Trip, does that mean what I think it means?" I ask
"let me check something" Trip says typing away at the computer in front of him before the window in front of use turns into a holographic screen showing what was left of the Command Centre,
"The Command Centre" Jason mutters
"Zordon?" Casey questions
"i'm not picking up his energy signature" Trip answers
"Ransik destroyed it" Jen murmurs
"what will we do if Ransik comes after us?" Katie asks
"we fight until our last breaths, we will correct this, we just need to get that device" Trip says standing up
"but you said it brought on the extinction of the dinosaurs" I say
"can we really use something so destructive?" Billy questions
"this device, was used back in the first developments of Millennium City, it was used in the creation of the space the city resides in" Trip explains
"there's more to that isn't there Trip?" I question eyeing my boyfriend
"what i'm about to say only few in Time Force know, it is highly classified information and is punishable by a infinite cryogenic stasis sentencing" Trip explains
"so we can't tell anyone we know or that you told us" Lucas says
"pretty much" Trip answers
"so what is this secret?" Carter asks
"when Millennium City was being constructed on the remains of Silver Hills, they used a Magnetic Amplification Device to magnetise the structures around the build site" Trip begins
"we already know this Trip" Lucas says
"what you don't know is that during the final days of moving the remains of Silver Hills, the Magnetic Amplification Device suffered a power overload, the resulting overload tore a hole in space and time sucking in anything that was magnetically attracted to it. Time Force Headquarters was built over the tear in the Space - Time Continuum and for years Time Force tried to locate the device" Trip explained
"I take it they found it, but why didn't they try and bring it back?" Jason asks
"your right they did find it, and they did send teams to retrieve it but each time a team was sent they weren't heard from again, when we finally got a visual on the situation, the scene was devastation as every Time Ship we sent was ripped apart and no life could be seen, only the helmets" Trip explains further
"the teams were killed?" Casey questions
"the device was sent back to the prehistoric age, and after the first few times Time Force scanned the area only to find a massive amount of life in the area" Trip explains
"Dinosaurs found them" Ryan says
"that's what Time Force got from the situation but that wasn't all, Time Force discovered that the Magnetic Amplification Device had sent a burst of energy out into the asteroid belt behind Mars, that attracted an asteroid that was an extinction level threat" Trip explains
"but the history files in the Time Force Archive?" Jen questions
"most of it was made up to hide the truth, you can't keep secrets for long from a Xybrian unless you really try and at the time of my arrival on Earth they didn't know that" Trip explains
"Time Force faked Millennium Cities history?" Lucas questions
"to protect the people in the city, can you imagine if they found out that there was a rift in Time and Space in the city centre" Trip answers
"are they trying to close it?" Eric asks
"Ever since that day, yes they have" Trip answers as he looks back at the image of the destroyed Command Centre.

As we went further south all of us were in thought, the future was more complicated them we once thought, it held a secret that could damage the foundations of society, but then I remembered that the Command Centre was destroyed, which meant our morphers no longer worked,
"Trip do you have a way for us to counter Ransik" I ask walking up to him
"not at the moment, everything has happened so suddenly, I thought this mission was an easy come back stop Ransik and return to cleaning up 2001 but it got so much more complicated" Trip says looking down
"none of us expected for history to change like it has" I say
"I don't even know if the world will be the same after this" Trip says
"how much could change?" I question
"Wes, every event leading up to this has been strange, Dreamcrusher and Controllord aren't in either prison files for Time Force" Trip explains
"but you guys remember them so well" I say
"that's the thing history says they simply shouldn't exist, its almost as if Ransik's plan suddenly changed and he created his own mutants" Trip says
"could he be planning something bigger then we thought?" I ask
"everything that he has done has been through different realities, the reality of dreams and that alternative reality we were trapped in" Trip says
"could he be testing something?" I question
"I don't know, but it can't be a coincidence, he's planning something and he's striking now" Trip says looking me in the eye
"Trip, that other earth" I begin
"what about it?" he questions
"what if there were more and us being there proved it to Ransik" I explain
"he wants to rule the world, but what if he has now expanded his goal" Trip says
"exactly" I say putting my hands on his shoulders
"the future in that case is unknown, anything could happen and we are all that are left to stop him from achieving that new goal of his" Trip says
"just remember I love you Trip" I say hugging him
"I love you to Wes, i'm actually scared about this" he confesses
"don't worry, i'll never ever leave your side" I say softly kissing him on the lips, Trip returns the kiss before we break away a few seconds later realising that the other Rangers are still around us but looking around we see that they are all deep in thought about the situation and their own futures.
Approaching Destination: Turtle Cove.
Prepare For Auto Landing Sequence.
The computer announces gain the others attention as Turtle Cove can be seen coming into view of the ship, it was time to find the last piece of the Time Plate and put this plan into action because until we fixed this situation our futures were all unknown, but a dark feeling went down my spine, something was wrong, it had been ever since that energy wave washed over us, this just wasn't Zordon's death this was something else, something not good.
