The Doctor darted around the corner pulling Amy behind him. He muffled through his pocket trying to find his sonic. "Come on," the Doctor said tugging on her sleeve.
The angels were right behind them, they had opened a time hole. So many angels in one area, it had caused a temporal loop. It had sucked the TARDIS right in.
If his hypothesis was true the angels were pulling things from all over time and space into this one corner of the universe. It was like an abandoned hotel, 10 or 15 floors with 20 or so rooms on a floor. The TARDIS appeared on the roof, except it wasn't just one TARDIS but two.
Amy had asked earlier why there had been two or them, but he was too afraid to answer. The Doctor had to be careful, running into himself future or past would be bad.
The Doctor was sure he had run into hisself before but the problem about that was if he did, he wouldn't remember it. None of his selves would.
"Doctor," Amy wheezed. They had done a lot of running but not like this. He pulled her into a room and slammed the door.
"Shh," he whispered.
A loud noise that sounded like wind rushing by but only for a moment then silence. "What's going on Doctor?" Amy asked.
"Temporal loop," he said adjusting his bow tie. "The angels, you remember them right? Well, they've created a, um" The Doctor stuttered, trying to make sure she could understand what he was trying to say. "Like a vortex, or cyclone, except it's with time. The vortex sucks in bits and pieces of things from other time periods. Right now in it's early stages its only sucking in the things that are not from the time periods from which they are being pulled. Do you understand?"
"Is that why there are two TARDIS's?" Amy asked.
The Doctor opened the door and the pair quietly started to sneak down the corridor.
"Yes, running into my other self could be dangerous, so we need to try and avoid that as much as possible-" he cut off quickly as they rounded the corner.
Two familiar faces stood in front of him. One face he used to see every time he looked in the mirror, the other he still saw sometimes in his dreams.
Amy tensed next to him. "Doctor?"
"Doctor?" The other Doctor said.
"Doctor?!" Rose asked.
"Rose?" The Doctor managed.
Seeing her, he remembered everything. Their first kiss, long nights spent just talking, losing her- twice. He felt like he couldn't breathe.
"What's going on?" Amy asked.
"He's me."
"I'm you?"
"Yeah," Bow tie said.
"As if one wasn't confusing enough," Rose mumbled.
"Exactly!" Amy said laughing. "I'm Amy."
"Rose," she smiled and they shook hands.
Trench coat inspected his future self, "It's a temporal loop, don't you think?"
He nodded. "Yes, it's pulling everything in. Soon it will start pulling in bigger things. I'm assuming there's a control room or some sort of box, that we need to find." The Doctor felt like he needed to impress his past self. That he needed to be good, to be better.
"I agree," Past-Doctor said.
The lights started to flicker above them. "The Angels," Rose whispered.
