Chained Shadows

Part 1

"Flight to Sydney, Australia. Please board."

I picked up my bags and waited for my dad to grab his things and we start walking to the boarding place.

"Ticket please" the flight tenant said with a fake smile plastered on her face. I give her my ticket and start walking into the plane.

"Have a nice trip"  I nodded and took my seat near the window. My dad sat next to me. "I still don't get why we need to go to Sydney." I said kind of annoyed " I already explained this to you Nicole. I got a really good job there." Dad said once again. I rolled my eyes and got comfy so I could sleep. After about five minutes or so I fell asleep.

So I guess it's a good time to introduce myself. I'm Nicole Rose. I'm moving to Sydney from Melbourne, Australia. I have medium length brown hair and dark drown eyes. I have two best friends that I'm leaving in Melbourne. Their names are Liz and Lucas. They're twins. I'm gonna miss them so so much I can't even explain it.

I felt a nudge on my shoulder snapping me out of my thoughts. I open my eyes to see my dad looking at me.

"The plane is landing soon" he told me. I nodded and snuggle in my oversized sweater.

"Hey dad? Can we get food?" I asked

"Yah, sure" I nodded and headed towards the Starbucks in the airport. I got my food and walked over to my dad.

"I got  you a muffin."

"Thanks, love" he said. I smiled and walked with my dad to the car he's renting to go to the new house.

At the house

I looked up to see a beautiful big house in front of me.

"So, dad, umm where's the house?" I asked slightly confused

"It's right in front of you" he answered in a 'duh' tone.

I bet I looked like an idiot looking at the gorgeous house in front of me. Dad chuckled and started taking things out of the trunk of the car.

"Come on, love. You get to pick your room." My faced brighter and I ran into the house.
"There two up the stairs and one down stairs." He said. I nodded and sprinted up the stairs. I found a door that lead to an average sized bedroom with a walk in closet. I went to the other room that had a walk in closet, a medium sized balcony and its own bathroom. I'm definitely taking this one. I thought. There was already a queen sized bed in the middle of the room so I decided to move in where I wanted it.

I went downstairs to find my dad unpacking the boxes from our old house.

"Oh. Nicole. You scared me. Um we're going to the shops to buy some bedroom furniture later." He said

"M'kay. I'm gonna get my bed room stuff unpacked then I'm taking a nap soo wake me up when we are going. Ok?" He nodded and went back to work. I grabbed one of my boxes and back up to my room.

When I finished putting the majority of my stuff in my room I decided against napping so I could go to the shops and explore some of Sydney.
