My dad and I went shopping for our stuff for the house and we were heading back. I told my dad that I was going to go explore some more.
I went up to my room and changed from my sweat pants and sweater into some skinny jeans and a band t-shirt. I pulled on a black beanie and my red high top converse. I grabbed my phone and some money and headed towards the door. "Bye dad!" I called before opening the door and leaving.
When got to the shops and stuff I ordered some Starbucks and continued my walking. After a couple minutes later I stumbled across a big music/instrument store.
When I entered the store, a little bell rang. I walked around in the store and found a really nice looking guitar. It was all black with random colours splattered on it. I smiled and grabbed it. I sat down and started strumming to "Midnight Memories" by one direction. I wasn't a fan of them but their music is ok. Right about the middle of the song I stopped to see a really cute standing in front of me clapping. I smiled and thanked him.
"You know not a lot of girls come in here. Or played in here. You've got talent." I looked down and blushed.
"My name is Trevor." He said holding out one hand.
"I can see your name tag. I know what your name is. My name is Nicole. Nicole Prescott. But you can call me Nik." I shook his hand stood up.
"I've never seen you before around here. Did you just move?" He asked
"Uh.... Yah I um I moved from Melbourne with my dad." I replied.
"Do you know where your going to school yet? .....orrrr" he asked
"Well, i don't know what it's called but I'm here for my senior year" I said"Ok, umm can I have your number. So you know we could hang out?"
"Uh... Sure" I smiled and handed him my phone and he handed me his.
"See you around Nicole" I waved goodbye and started back to my house.

At the house
"Hi dad" I greeted him as I walked through the door.
"Oh, hi Nicole. How was your day?" He asked
" pretty good actually. I made a friend. His name is Trevor." I replied happily. He nodded and I went to my room.
My room isn't unpack completely yet so that's what I'm going to do. Around three hours later my dad called me down for dinner. I ran down the stairs skipping like three at a time. Nah just kidding if I did that I would've tripped and fell on my face.
" what's for dinner dad?"
"Just some of my homemade hamburgers." My eyes widened and I sprinted to my seat at the table. He smirked because he knows how much I love his burgers.
When I was done eating I went back up stairs to finish unpacking. I already unpacked my lamp, dresser, and closet so all I needed to do was unpack my guitars. I set them all in the far corner of my room. My electric guitar is jet black with bright green splatters on it and my acoustic guitar is stained a dark brown colour.
I stepped back and looked around my room to see if I was missing something. Back in America you promised yourself you would make picture wall. My thoughts told me. I walked to my desk and opened one of the drawers. I found a big pile of pictures from back home. I picked up the pictures and sorted them; the ones I want up, the ones that I don't want up because that are private, and the ones that bring back bad memories.
After I hung them up I went to the bathroom and showered. I washed my face and brushed my teeth and hair. I put my hair in a messy bun and yelled goodnight to my dad. I hopped in bed and thought about the good day I had today. How I met Trevor and all the other stuff.
