Chapter 34
The Search Goes On

We decided to continue on as planned, for while Arlene knew a whole
lot, she didn't know everything. We were still clueless of Aina's actual
whereabouts. We only knew she was somewhere close by. But we now
had a profile we could work with. So on the hunt we went. Ari uploaded
the latest information into Cyrux, who was now linked to Siela. Their
processing capacity had expanded exponentially. So now we got feedback
almost instantaneously. Sure enough, only a moment later, every Aina
listed within the vicinity we were in, and that was area two, was made
known to us. Ari would be doing the door to door while I will get
started with the malls, and later, we'd both do the eateries together.
Back on the Ridestar, Miu Miu contacted me with news of her baby.
She was ecstatic, if a little freaked out, but as Ari would be with her
every step of the way, she was okay about it. I could not help but be
proud of my friend. Had it been me, I'd have not only been freaking
out but likely have gone off the rockers completely. I definitely would
not be in contact with the very person who had instigated the whole
mess, even if unwittingly. We had even buzzed Suki in and had a
three-way, excited, and bubbly comm. It made me feel so much better,
and updating Suki over Miu Miu's condition had been somewhat
hilarious. Thinking back to her reactions had me chuckling even now.
Even Ari was still chuckling.

really get this clothes fetish thingy the humans seemed to have. My
living in the same suit for the past four sals, while it had suited me then,
was not the way to go now. I was changing clothes as frequently as any
human. Daily almost. Unless, I really forgot. Ari was as bad. He started
out with just that one pair of pants and shirt but now pretty much had
a full wardrobe. Ari gave me a mental slap behind the head at that. But
I still insisted it was true. Soon we'd be carting about our luggage as we
trampled on to the very ends of Earth in search of our damn elusive
sisters. Why couldn't they just be listed on the damn yellow pages like
the rest of the world seemed to be? But Cyrux had already done a check
on that. He called up every single Aina and Sona listed on the globe
over. It hadn't taken him that long, considering he had to juggle the time
zones and do the calls in human tones, in local dialects, and be ingenious
