Until Dawn AU's and More

i like to think that a lot of the unlikely friendships in until dawn were due to a few of them being childhood/family friends and thats how their friend group ended up being so mismatched

mike and ashley being best friends right up until high school when they began to drift apart but they still see each other as practically siblings (which would fit nicely into the bit where josh is saying mike should get with ashley and he looks up in complete shock)

chris and jessica's parents being really good friends so they'd always be over the other's house when they were really little and would honestly terrorise every adult they came across (and of course they'd terrorise each other too)

sam and matt meeting each other at some kind of after school club and hitting it off because dammit they're both really cool people and they have the chillest friendship in the world and unlike the others they continued regularly hanging out throughout high school because why wouldn't they
and it's these past connections that keep the group together and made them start hanging out in the first place and everything is nice and cute and happy
