In the universe Jack watched over his kids and wife, he really wished that he could be with them, but he knew that there was absolutely NO way to go back to them. One day he had an idea, he would find the stick and give it to his kids. He cultures time so that they thought that they had had it for 5 years. He knew that this was the only way to get him back to them.
Jack then made time repeat it's self so that Sam and Jake had enough time to find out what they had to do. He changed everything and even made something up that he called "it" he then added it to what he called the "interweb". Jack made it so that every day there would be something new that one of them knew and one of them didn't. Every day Sam and Jake would forget everything until they got the sap from the tree in the center of the town so that they could bring Jack back.
