12: Gluttony
(Blank Verse)

Oh, ice cream, how I love to taste the sweet
Of all your flavors like a connoisseur;
I taste the lovely kiss of chocolate chip,
Relish the creamy lick of vanilla,
Savor the crunchy mix of rocky road's
Soft marshmallows and nuts, enjoy the fresh
And shocking peppermint of mint-flavored
Chocolate chip, but I reserve my greatest
Love for cookies and cream, my favorite kind
That bursts in floods of chocolaty wafers
And creamy seas inside my chewing mouth.
I'd scoop them all into my bowl and gorge
Myself into a brain-freeze state I call
Nirvana, cooling my sweaty sun-baked
Head like a blizzard in summer's heatwave.
But then, just minutes later, rumbles deep
Between my cheeks will threaten to unleash
Unholy wrath upon my insides. Straight
Into the bathroom shall I go and plunge
The ticking time bomb of my doom upon
The sacred throne, ejecting massive plumes
Like Mount St. Helens. This will be my fate
In just a minute's time, but ere I go
To do my duty, I sit enjoying
Every spoonful of this forbidden sin.

(To be continued...)

A/N: Good day everybody! I've returned from a long updating hiatus to give you another poem... Hope you enjoyed it... It's one of my lighter ones... ( ^_^ )
