5. (Pref #5) When He Meets Your Parents

Patrick:

You went to your family house for a meal and for your parents to meet you boyfriend, Patrick.

You stood at the door...

"(Y/N) what if they don't like me? Maybe you should say I'm sick and we should leave!" Patrick moaned

"Trick I love you. And if they don't I still will." You said reassuringly

"Ok..." Patrick said as you rang the doorbell

He composed himself tying to look smarter than he already looked

"Patrick you look fine baby." You said brushing off the rim of Patrick's fedora

Your parents opened the front door...

"Hello (Y/N) how have you been?" Your mum spoke first hugging you

"I'm fine thanks mum."

"Hey honey." Your dad did kissing your cheek

"Mum, dad this is Patrick, Patrick, this is Diana and James, my parents."

"Hi Patrick, it's lovely to meet you."

"You too Mrs (L/N)" Patrick said nervously shaking your mums hand

"Patrick, how are you?" your dad said shaking Patrick's hand.

"I'm good thank you Mr (L/N). How are you?" Patrick said kindly

"We're fine thank you. Do come in." Your dad said inviting you in.

You went in first and Patrick trailed behind.

You noticed how nervous Patrick looked so gently kissed his cheek for encouragement

"Thank you" he whispered to you

Dinner went well. Patrick got more comfortable around your parents allowing them to meet the real him.

But your parents seemed to get along well with Patrick. Although they didn't need to like him it was always a bonus.

When you left and got in the car Patrick said something to you that you'd never forget.

"Your dad said that in the future he gave me permission to marry you." Patrick said with a big grin on his face

You just smiled and hugged him.

Joe:

Joe met your parents at a family gathering...

Your mum answered the door.

She greeted you and then took a long questioning look at Joe.

"I didn't know you were bringing a friend (Y/N)" your mum smiled

"Mum he's not exactly my friend, he's my boyfriend." You said smiling while Joe just looked worried, waiting for your mum's approval of him.

Joe had washed his hair for the first time in a week for the gathering, he really wanted everyone to like him. He even "styled" it instead of it just being a Joefro, even though you loved his Joefro you weren't sure your parents would approve.

"Well hello...?" Your mum asked waiting for Joe's name

"Joe" Joe said shaking your mums hand.

"Well it's lovely to meet you, I'm Paula, (Y/N)'s mum."

She led you and Joe into the lounge where the rest of the family were sitting. When you walking into the room everyone turned to look at Joe.

He looked so nervous, which was really adorable.
