Third Person's POV

          "Enleigh?"

A gentle, worried voice greeted her ears as she slowly fluttered her eyes open.

Danthony, just as what he promised, never left her bedside. Maybe except when he had to pee, but he surely stayed awake the whole night. She has been unconscious for eighteen hours, making him hell distressed of her critical pregnancy. And the dark, heavy bags under his eyes showed it very well.

She never said a word to him. Instead, she just gave him a blank stare, and it seemed like she didn't even remember the events that got them both terrified.

"Good morning ma'am," Enleigh's attention suddenly shifted to the approaching nurse on her bed. "How are you feeling?"

And that's when all of her memories hit her head. She suddenly panicked as she reached for the nurse's arm, anticipating good news to the question that popped on her mind.

"M-my baby? How's my baby?!" She pleaded for the nurse to say something that would satisfy her wonder, but the nurse just continued checking her IV. "Please, tell me!"

"Ms. Stone, please calm down," the nurse tried to get her grip off of her arm, since Enleigh was unconsciously digging her nails to her skin.

"En, just take it easy," Danthony tried to interfere, hoping that he could help tranquilize her nerves. But of course, it just made her more furious.

"Am I talking to you?!" She turned her deadly gaze to him who's still tensed as fuck. "If something bad happened I swear I'd bat your potent b-"

"Your baby's miraculously fine," the nurse revealed to ease up her feelings, and also to not to hear Enleigh's literally deadly curse. She then gave out a loud breath of relief. "It's your health that you need to be worried about. You've suffered from blood loss yesterday and that made you, well, more anemic."

"Oh, that's good," she mumbled unconsciously, not minding about the latter words of the nurse. Her little kicker was all that she cared for. "I'm sorry, I mean, yeah, I'd definitely eat tons of fish... And spinach."

"Good, a healthy baby needs a healthy mommy," the nurse commented with a smile before leaving the bedside. "The doctor will come any minute now."

She smiled back to the nurse, but never to Danthony.

          Awkward silence.

"And what happened to your eyes?" She asked in a rude tone, giving him a sharp stare as she noticed how physically awful he looked like.

"Oh. This," he gently massaged his eyes with his fingers, keeping a slight smile. "Don't worry, I was just-"

"I'm not worrying," she stiffly interfered, taking her sight away from him with so much bitterness. "I'm just asking."

"Oh," he bowed his head in disappointment, looking awkward as he playfully scratched his black wristband. "Of course."

She peeked at him and noticed the band. It made her wonder somehow, since Danthony never liked wearing such things. But of course, she pretended not to care, like how he did to her months ago.

"Shit," she muttered as she tried to get up and unwrap herself from the covers.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He leaned closer to her bed.
