Danthony's POV

Several tiresome hours ago I was with my girlfriend of the year, Adee. She's pretty fine but I must say, she's just a piece of a pebble compared to Enleigh Camille Stone, who happens to be here, sleeping soundly right next to me.

As I gently trace her angelic features with my pointing finger, I couldn't help but wonder- how on heaven did God create such a woman as perfect as her?

And why the hell did I let her slip through my fingers just like that? Uggh. I guess I was just at the height of my stupidity four years way back.

I mean look at her! She's got the sugar, the spice, damn she's everything nice! She's more like a Power Puff Girl, huh?

No but really, any man would be the luckiest to have her as their girl. Too bad I was too late to realize this before, yet too early for me to know that I am perfectly unfit for her perfection.

These thoughts have always gotten me confused. It seems to me that the more that I want to pull her in, the more that I have to push her away.

And that is something I should always keep in mind.

Enleigh's POV

"Mmmh," I moaned while stretching my arms up. "That was... really memorable."

We had ourselves dancing on a zumba session near his condo last night. But suddenly, the rain came rushing down that we decided to stay in his place. And then we had some small talks, had a bottle of a strong beverage to heat up our system, and...

That was the thing. I guess we overheated ourselves more than how we were supposed to, so... something really happened.

"It's 7 in the morning, you should leave now. The service crew might come anytime." He said in a low voice while buckling his belt.

"Oh. Well, thanks for asking me how's my sleep and for asking me if I'm hungry. How sweet of you."

"You're always hungry, so why would I still bother to ask? Get your butt off the bed now. Hurry."

"W-what happened to last night, huh? Did you just forge-"

"Exactly En, LAST NIGHT. Have you forgotten what I said? We would only be together just for a night, and then we're done. Oh c'mon, I couldn't remember you having a bad memory."

My mind is as hell messy as his king-sized bed right now. I really didn't know how to respond on what he said. For the second time in history, I fell for his crap- again. Of course! That was just for a night, and then everything will be back to the way it was before it happened.

Great. Now the joke is really on me.

"Okay then, I'll leave," I sighed. "But tell me first where on earth did you throw my freakin' clothes!" I demanded with my arms crossed.

"Uhm... I- I couldn't remember. Wait," he was stunned, and he acted as if he was trying to find them.

"Seems like I'm not the only one with a bad memory here, huh?" I raised a brow on him together with a bitter smile.

I then grabbed his shirt and began searching until I found my clothes laid next to the doorway. He just laid back to his bed, covering his face with a pillow-- pretending as if I already left the room, as if I have never been here at all.

"Don't bother asking me a favor like that again, okay?" I heavily sighed before I continued.

"It would be like...you've risen me from the grave just to kill me again."

I then got my way out of his room, quietly shutting the door.
