Chapter Twenty-Two - Empty

While on my way to the meeting place, a lot of thoughts keep flowing to my mind.

What is the bad news?

I just really do hope that it's not what I'm thinking though.

That woman is our last hope.

Upon arriving on our meeting place, everyone greeted me with a sad face.

"Good thing you're already here. Now we can discuss everything."Said their Aunt.

Everyone took a seat samantalang ako ay nakatayo lang.

"You can seat here Hijo." She said pointing the vacant seat near her.

"It's okay. I'm fine standing." Sagot ko at tumango lang siya.

"Okay. Let's go down to our topic. " She said at humugot ng hininga. " I'm sorry to disappoint you but even I don't know where she is right now." Aniya at lahat kami ay napabuntong-hininga.

Ito na nga ba ang kinakatakutan kong malaman.

"What do you mean? Hindi ba ikaw ang laging contact niya? At ikaw din ang nag-arrange ng flight niya?" I asked.

"Yes Hijo. But unfortunately, she didn't take the flight which is bound to Paris. That's why I hurriedly check kung saan siya nagpunta but to no avail, I can't trace her. I called her a lot of times pero unavailable din."

"Maybe she knew that we will look for her that's why she chose not to take the flight. That girl is really smart." Shinn said. I can't agree more.

Maybe she already saw that this will happen. Damn. How can we out smart her?

"Come on guys, don't you see that brightest part?" Ian said.

Lahat kami ay napa-isip.

"It only means that she's still here – in the Philippines." Ian added at tila lahat kami ay nabuhayan ng loob.

I just really do hope that she's here.

***Sky's POV***

"Nice to meet you Ms. Eren." He said at napangisi.

I didn't bother to answer him and instead tumayo na ako dahil balak ko ng umalis sa pamamahay na iyon.

"I guess I'll be going ahead." I said.

"No Eren. Please stay." Wika ni Wayne. I wanted to say no pero may humila sa short ko sa gilid.

"Mama?" Ani Gello at mukhang lumungkot ang mukha niya.

Damn.

"Wow! Did I hear it right? This kid called you mama?" Natatawang sabi nong Raver. "Did I miss something? Come on Wayne, pinaglilihiman mo na ako. I didn't know that you already found a replacement of – "

"Cut it out Raven! If you're just here to annoy us, please, umalis ka na lang muna!" Wayne yelled ngunit tinawanan lang siya ng kapatid niya.

Gosh! Gusto ko siyang sapakin para matahimik na.

"Calm down bro. Don't get so worked up! I'm just teasing you." Tumatawang sagot ng kapatid niya at napatingin sa akin. "Looks like hindi kita makakausap ngayon. Well, see you around Ms. Eren." Anito at tuluyan ng umalis.

"I'm sorry about that Eren. My brother is just like that."

Tumango na lang ako at nagsimula na kami kumaen. Parang tuloy nawalan ako ng gana.
