Mask

no I have not changed
we don't really know one another
this is an unfair claim
I took my mask off and threw it away
so the me you think you know
compaired to the real me
we're not the same
but were we ever?
I'll never know what you saw before
like artwork, we all see differntely
though I'm revealing my bigger picture
I'm finally being me
whether or not you want me to be
though honestly
did you not known I was wearing a mask?
I was that pushover who'd put up with your sass
I'd keep quiet and do whatever you ask
was that rare "No" so damaging to you?
I can see you're wearing a mask too
maybe yours is flawless whilst mine was weathered
but I'll leave you be
maintaining a mask isn't easy
that mask you wear slips
and are you painting the cracks?
