I'm starting to feel a little bit guilty now, I mean I shouldn't of have over reacted with my friends like that. I guess I'm just a little pissed that everyone finds it so shocking. It wasn't even that great, I mean at first it was but then we stared talking about his groupies, and it just got awkward. I'm just going to blame this whole situation on Joe because it's the easiest thing to do right now, and that's where my thoughts about the whole situation stopped thanks to the bell for lunch.
I walked out of the class, and up to my locker to put my books away. When I slammed the locker back to it's closed position, SURPRISE.
"AH," I let out as I kind of jumped startled by who was in front of me. " What's your problem with scaring me?" I asked Dylan as he leaned on Ali's locker, smirking at my mini jump.
"I don't think I'm the one with the problem." He stated, totally looking hot by the way, but I wasn't going to let that distract me."So where you heading off to?" He asked. Wow so the stereotypes are true, jocks are stupid.
"Well, considering the fact that the lunch bell just rang," I stated. "I think I'm going to the lunchroom." I answered him with a look that said ' Wow, good thing you're cute.'
He laughed at me. Which wasn't really what I was going for.
"Do I amuse you?" I asked him.
" Uh, yeah you kind of do." He said with a smirk forming on his face.
"Hmm, sorry that I can't say the same thing about you." I shot at him. Wow, I never realized how much of a jerk I could really be. Way to go Aubrey.
His smirk dropped. I tried to walk away from him after that, trying to do what they do in the movies, and leave him there standing speechless. But of course that didn't happen. "Well what does amuse you?" He asked following behind me. I rolled my eyes, stopped and turned around. We were only inches apart, I could feel his warm breath on me, and smell his cologne. Which by the way made him 10 times hotter.
"Look," I said ignoring the fact that he was standing so close to me. " I appreciate you being nice to me, and taking me out to subway last night and all, but whatever your trying to do isn't going to work. Don't worry your very attractive, it's just I'm not looking for anything right now. I- I have," I took a breath to figure out what to say before I say something wrong." a lot of things on my mind, things you wouldn't even imagine. I don't have time to worry about anything else right now. Okay." And with that I just left before he could answer, or make fun of me for saying all those things to him. He probably doesn't even like me, and I just made a total fool of myself.
"Hey," I said to my two best friends with a guilty smile on my face. All they did was look at me. "Okay, look I'm sorry for overreacting this morning. It's just you guys seemed so shocked, at the fact that I didn't enjoy the-the whatever it was last night with Dylan so much, and it frustrated me and the fact that Joe just had to tell Noah, and Noah had to tell you Ali, and you had to tell Amy well really pissed me off." I said trying to catch my breath in between sentences.
They both laughed like they were planning on making me say this, and I fell for it, and they were getting joy out of me apologizing. Am I amusing everyone today? Because that's not really how I like to spend my day. I like to be the amused, not that amuser, if that even makes sense.
"You're forgiven." Amy said as she stabbed her fork to her salad.
"We weren't actually mad at you either, we were just seeing how long it would take you to apologize." Ali said giving me her wide ' I got you! ' smile.
