I want to thank POP0396 for editing this chapter for me. Thank you sooo sooo sooo much...

"Enough." Elder Isaj roars, holding his hand up in the air palm facing out. The blue sleeves of his robe slides down his arms revealing age old scars earned from battles, not quite hiding beneath pale blue almost faded tattoo. The tattoo being bestowed on the Elders by moon goddess...how? Nobody knows. But it is the only sign that makes them different from wolves like us.

Fury races through every vein in my body as I stare down at the four hundred year old council member Elder Isaj. A tiny smile tilts the corner of his lips up, but I don't know if he's mocking me or pitying me.

Only two more Elders are seated in their ornate seat up on the dais. Melos the oldest of the Elders have a serine look on his face like nothing affects him. Elder Gaya the five hundred year old she-wolf Elder and once the Alpha of northern pack of old America has her fingers steelped in front of her mouth, her calculative eyes set firmly on Orin who is held on the ground by two guards, by the nucha of his neck. His is hardly bleeding from the cracks on his skin, his hollow lifeless eyes dark with fury as he pants for breath. He almost looks like a marble statue except for the heavy movement of his chest.

Marin's mutilated body lay ten feet away from me. There is no hint of movement, not even a soft rush of breathing. Her left hand is almost torn from the shoulder socket and her right knee is dislocated and bent awkwardly, her foot facing outside of her body. Blood pools around her. The only way to know that she isn't dead is for she still looks like human-her pale skin and lips are tinged blue from lack of blood-and not like a mummy's carcase.

Sonja is frozen in her spot on my right, kneeling beside her mate Jade, who is also kneeling. His gut is viciously clawed; he is bleeding from his temple. Both of them have their eyes flashing bright golden, claws seethed, face contoured in their beta-form with a mouthful of fangs lips turned into a menacing snarl. They are both surrounded by four beta-guards, shifted in their beta-form, looking ferocious and ready to pounce on my beta at any moment.

I can hear their palpitating heart and smell the anxiety and anger seeping out of the pores of their skin. They are roaring in my ears and choking me. All of these is on me. My Beta's are hurt because of me. The Vampire whom I'm given refuge in my pack are almost death because of me.

It's my fault.

Because I'm selfish.

Because I can't let Tony go.

And I have brought this on them.

Call it an asshole's intuition but the moment I saw my ex's father I knew something bad was going to happen, and yet, knowing how things would go, it still didn't stop me.

Knowing how sly this Rykovs are, knowing that if they are here it was meant to get difficult I still walked into the room and appealed for my divorce without breaking our alliance with them.

I lock my gaze on ex-Alpha Rykov and his son Alpha Boris Rykov their eyes are dancing with triumph and mockery. "You can't ruin my sister's life, Gabriel." Boris growls.

I grind my teeth delivering him a deadly glare. "How did I ruin her life, Boris?"

Boris' eyes narrows and his brow furrows. "You got married to her and now you want to leave her. She won't have a life. No one is going to accept her. She will be alone and you will be..."
