Atticus POV

My body shook uncontrollably as I sat wrapped up on the bed. Whimpered and whines cascaded from my lips as I heard his footsteps come closer.

I heard him groan and a scream left my lips. I couldn't do this. I can't handle it anymore.

Sylis POV

I groaned in pain as my held felt as if it was going to bursts as he screamed, his fear overload my senses. My head pounded in pain and I gripped my temple.

No.

I heard Atticus whimpered and another eave of pain washed over me before I blacked out.

"Sylis wake up. Atticus needs you. You have you're soul back! You have to get up!" The moongoddess voice pleaded.

Groggily I peeled open my eyes, things blurry before the became clear. I groaned as I rose to my feet, my eyes locked on the figure on the bed and my breathing hitched.

"At-atticus?" I choked out with a lump in my throat.

He whimpered and my heart panged.

Oh god. What have I done?

Slowly and cautiously I walked in front of him and bent down to his level. I peeked through the opening in the bundle of blankets and tears immediately came to my eyes.

"B-baby?" I choked out.

His eyes snapped open, fear clear in them as he screamed and scrambled to the other side of the bed.

"Atticus, baby, i-its me." I said reaching my hand out to him.

He screamed once again and I whimpered.

"L-lie! H-hate Sylis! Sy-sylis bad!" He screamed and clutched his hair.

My heart panged as the words pierced me like a bullet.

"Baby its me. Le-let me help you." I said moving to his side of the bed slowly.

He screamed his hand coming out of his cocoon and clawing my face. I yelped in pain and clutched my cheek. Looking back at him I could see his fearful as staring at me as if I was a monster.

"Atticus baby please let me help you. Its me. Its really me baby." I cooed.

He screamed and tried crawling away from me. I quickly wrapped my arms around him and pulled him to my chest.

"Shh baby its OK." I cooed as he screamed at the top of his lungs and clawed at my chest.

A tear slid down my cheek as I held him to me and let him tire himself out before putting him down. I uncurled him from his cocoon and a bigger lump formed in my throat. His little body was naked, blood was smeared on his lower half and the blanket, his little chest stomach and arms were littered in bruises and cuts, and his little wrist was purple and bent at an awkward angle.

"Oh baby I'm so sorry." I whimpered and slipped a park of sweatpants on him.

I bundled him back up and called an pack doctor that comes to your house. Minutes passed until I heard the front door open and feet pounding down the hallway.

"Alright let me see him." The doctor spoke softly.

I unwrapped Atticus and the doctor checked him over. I ran my fingers through Atticus' hair as he laid in my lap. Sorrow and guilt building in my gut.

"He seems fine, no fracturred or broken ribs. My main concern is his wrist. Its started to heal wrong and I need to break what had healed and set it. You need to hold him down." The doctor spoke softly.

I nodded and pulled Atticus closer to my chest. I kept a from grip on his body as the doctor took his wrist. The doctor quickly twisted his wrist making Atticus scream in pain.

"Shh baby its alright." I cooed as he screamed nonsense.

"L-let go!" He screamed as the doctor set his wrist.

Once the doctor was done he left and I laid Atticus on the bed.

"G-get away." He cried and cowered away from me.

"I-ill check on you in the morning." I said with a lump once again in my throat.

Holding back tears I made my way to the living room and sat down on the couch. Tears spilled from my eyes as I remembered the way he looked at me.

I felt terrible.

This was all my fault.
