I tried to blend in but I knew he saw me, I tried to turn but I couldn’t bring myself to. I knew he was staring right back at me, and I cursed myself for coming back. He just couldn’t get out of my head, from the way he was staring at me; you could tell that the feeling was mutual.

He slowly smirked and that’s when I panicked, I turned and ran out of the kitchen.

Nat was standing against the far wall talking with Carter. When she saw me she smiled and grabbed my hands, “Having fun?” she asked practically yelling over the music.

I shook my head and leaned in yelling into her ear, “Natalie he’s here!”

Nat pulled back, and then leaned back in yelling, “I thought he couldn’t come?”

I nodded frantically looking at her freaking out, why on earth would he tell everyone he couldn’t come then be here?

Nat was staring off at the distance, “Cor, is he wearing a dark green t-shirt and black jeans, looking mighty fine?” She screamed at me.

I gave her a puzzled look and slowly said, “Yeah”

Natalie’s eyes widened and she yelled frantically, “Better run! He’s coming over here!”

I gasped and tried to run past her but it was too late I felt a warm hand grasp my arm.

“Corra,” I heard, his rough voice coursed through my veins, it made my heart pound and my palms started to sweat.

I slowly turned to him, I couldn’t help but smiling at his face and his grin, “Hey,” I spoke now smiling from taking in his appearance.

“I was looking for you,” Wes informed me, he then glanced at me then the kitchen, then he glanced back at me, “Here, come with me, I’ll make you a drink,” nodding at me to follow as he led me in to the kitchen. He placed a warm hand on the small of my back and guided me in.

I followed him, people were intimidated by his presence anyone in his way instantly moved, it was like he had this power over them. The kitchen was almost empty, most people were in the room next to this one playing beer pong. I leaned up against the counter, a few people lingered around us in their own conversations. A group of boys were the ones playing beer pong in the attached dining room.

Wes then picked up an empty red cup and started mixing a drink, “Started to think you stayed home tonight.”

“Oh, no Natalie dragged me out since she only goes out once every 20 years,” I answered taking in his backside, the tip of his boxers showed as he leaned over to grab a bottle of 7-up. I bit my bottom lip I had no idea why I was so attracted to him, no addicted, I was for surely addicted to Wesley.

Wes laughed at my comment, “That is very true,” He poured something else in to two cups I now noticed, I also saw him pour rum in to one cup.

“I thought you weren’t coming,” I stated, curious as to why he told everyone he couldn’t come to his own party, but here he was.

Wes turned to me taking a sip out of his own freshly made drink and handed me one, “Everything seemed to work out, after this week I needed a drink anyways.”

“What makes you say that?”

“Well since our parents passed away and I turned 18 I became Alex’s guardian, and I just had to deal with stuff about that, legally and such”

I nodded, I knew his parents passed away when they were young. They lived with a relative until Wesley’s birthday, which was during the summer.

Girls all around us were eyeing me talking with Wesley, it made me feel uncomfortable.
