I was pinned down on the forest floor, I had tingles throughout my whole body. My eyes fluttered open and I realized why, I was naked the only thing covering me was the shirt Wes was wearing.
Wes on the other hand was completely naked and hovering over me touching me in some spots which resulted in the tingles.
I couldn’t remember what happened and how we got in this position. Horrible thoughts started flying through my head, Wes spoke before I could speak them.
“It’s time every one stops lying to you Corra, it’s time you know the truth, Here stand up” He pulled me to my feet and I hugged the shirt to my body.
Wes turned away while I slipped his shirt on.
He then turned back to face me. Wes eyes showed how much passion he had behind them, “Want to know why you keep blacking out? Wake up in a different place than you were before?” He questioned me.
I nodded, my whole life was a mixture of those blackouts of one thing to another, most of the time it would be when I was tired or during the evening. I never had it happen when I was angry, this was the first time, to say I am confused was an understatement.
“You are a werewolf, a shifter,” Wes observed my face to see if I was going to panic, when I stayed neutral he continued, “You are part human part wolf. Most were’s have the power to choose when you want to shift, you control the wolf part of you. You on the other hand Cor, your wolf is controlling you. I’ve been watching you thinking that you knew about this, but you don’t. Your wolf is powerful and so are you Corra, so powerful you don’t even realize it. Corra your wolf thought that you weren’t ready to accept your powers so she waited. She waited too long and now, you don’t even know that side of yourself exists because she’s been keeping it from you for so long.” He brushed my hair away from my eyes, “I have been waiting patiently trying to not interfere to see if you could conquer your wolf on your own. You have no idea how hard it was to just patiently wait and not touch my mate.”
“Is that why you left after the train station?” I asked him curiously my voice barely a whisper, but I had to know.
He nodded, “I could barely fight my wolf off to claim you right then and there,” He smiled at the thought, “I studied up on this, and it warned that if I excited your wolf too soon she might permanently take over, and I didn’t want to lose this part of you.”
I slowly began to process, as scary and confusing as it all sounded, it really did make sense.
“I can’t wait any longer Corra, I need you and you need me, I have to get your wolf to back down and for you two to work together” He hesitantly took a step closer to me, “I need you.”
I gazed up at him, I couldn’t help my tears from falling. He was right, every single thing he said was right. All those inner feelings were my wolf trying to get her say in. My Grandmother used to read me stories and soul mates and told me wolves have soul mates. Wesley was my soul mate, that’s why I wanted him like no other and couldn’t control myself when I was around him. My wolf was the reason why I would wake up in different spots, because she was taking over. I was stunned, all the puzzle pieces lined up. I stared at Wesley, he was who I’ve always wanted, he’s the one I want to be my everything. He was mine and I was his, for the rest of our lives.
“Can you please come back to the truck? I can take you home if you really want, but-,” Wes eyes glazed over as he abruptly stopped speaking. Eventually his eyes went back to normal and he spoke again, “Someone was contacting me.”
I was shivering and had my arms around myself, I found myself nodded to his question, I wanted to be with him, I guess now that I know, my wolf wanted him too.
