Alexandria's POV
I slammed the book shut as Matt walked into the kitchen, covering it with my arm.
"Hey." he said coming over and kissing me. "I missed you today."
"I missed you." I whispered and it was true, I did.
"How is she?" He asked.
"The same, still in her room, won't come out." Poor Lola, she was devastated.
"I wish you could have come down to the studio."
"I couldn't leave her like she is Matt." I told him.
"Yeah I guess." He said walking to the fridge and grabbing a drink. "What are you reading?"
"Oh some rubbish." I muttered trying not to blush. God, if he ever found out exactly what I was reading I might die of embarrassment.
"Anyway, it's warm out, wanna go for a swim?" He asked.
I smiled. "Yeah actually, that sounds perfect." All this reading was just too much.
"Meet you out there." He said as I headed upstairs.
I got changed into my bikini and looked in the mirror, turning around. I looked okay, it was just the scars on my back, scars from Brandon hitting me with the cord, times when he hit me hard enough I bled. Now they were just scars, fading, but I could still see them.
"Lola." I called softly, tapping on her door.
"Come in." She snuffled.
I opened the door, walking in quietly. "Matt and I are going for a swim, you should join us."
She looked over at me and burst into tears. "Look at you Alex." She cried. "Standing there, looking so fucking perfect, I put on a bikini and I look like a whale, no wonder he left me." And she burst into a fresh batch of tears.
"Lola." I said sitting on the edge of her bed. "Don't be silly."
"It's true."
"No it's not, you're beautiful." I said smiling. "Now forget about him and come swim with Matt and I."
Suddenly she sat up. "Oh my god Alex." She wailed. "What sort of a friend am I? Here I have been, crying at you for day's over that dickhead and look at everything that you've been through, fuck." She sobbed. "My problems are fucking nothing."
"Your problems are something." I whispered, hugging her. "Of course your problems are something Lola."
"No." She sobbed. "No there not Alex. How is everything going with Matt? Is it good?"
"Yes Lola." I smiled. "It's very good."
"Oh Alex." She cried, hugging me. "I promise you'll fix your sexual problems and I'm so glad you're happy."
"I hope so." I murmured.
She pulled back and looked at me. "I know you will Alex, you're a strong woman and you have Matt." She sobbed again. "He's so sweet and he adores you and he'll support you no matter what." She took a deep breath. "Not like Brian the stupid prick."
"Lola." I asked. "What happened?"
"I'd rather not talk about it." She whispered laying down. "Now go have your swim, enjoy Matt. He's such a sweetheart Alex, I hope you realise."
"I do." I whispered standing up, he really was a sweetheart and as I walked towards Lola's door, I smiled, remembering how nice it felt when he introduced me to his parents. He'd introduced me as Alexandria, his girlfriend. I couldn't help but smile every time I thought of it. His girlfriend.
I grabbed a couple of drinks as I walked through the kitchen and walked outside. Matt was right, it was a warm day. I put the drinks on the table and walked over to the pool. Matt was already in, fully wet, floating around.
"Coming?" He asked smiling.
I nodded and went to the stairs, walking in slowly and as the water hit my stomach it took my breath away.
"It's nice once you're under." Matt called grinning at me and of course he was right, so I dived under, getting completely wet.
"It's nice." I told him as I surfaced.
"I told you." He smiled, swimming over towards me.
I smiled as he reached me, pulling me into his arm's. "You seeing Karen tomorrow?" He asked.
I nodded. "Yep." And I had a million questions to ask her because honestly those books weren't helping at all.
"Can you come down after?" He murmured. "I sing so much better with you around."
"Really." I laughed, wrapping my arms around his neck. "You've been doing a pretty good job of singing long before you met me."
"But I'm better now." He grinned kissing me. "So much better."
"Okay." I giggled. "I'll come by."
"Good." He murmured against my lips and pulling me in close.
I closed my eye's. I just loved it when he kissed me, I got lost whenever he did, I would lose track of time, not care where I was and I loved that feeling so much.
"You know." He murmured, kissing my nose, then brushing his lips across mine. "Did I ever tell you how fucking beautiful you look in that bikini?"
"No." I giggled, closing my eye's as he kissed along my jaw then left a trail of kisses down my neck.
"Well damn Alex." He murmured into my neck. "You look fucking delicious."
I smiled as he tightened his grip on me and kissed me again and oh dear god there was tongue again. and as we stood there in the pool, him kissing my mouth, down my neck and back up again, I realised I liked it, it was doing things to my body, and I liked it.
"Enough." Matt murmured, kissing me lightly and I was disappointed, to me it wasn't enough.
"But..." I whispered but he cut me off. "There is no need to rush anything Alex okay, you don't have to rush anything for me, I promise, I'm not going anywhere."
I smiled and nodded, agreeing with him, but groaning internally. How did I tell him that I liked it and how the fuck do I tell him I wanted a little more?
