Wow okay I'm actually writing this chapter. For everyone to see. All over the Internet. Okay.

If you've read my earlier chapters (which I really hope you have) you've seen my rants about equality. Consider this a more in depth part two. Except this chapter I'm going to focus on one thing, LGBT.

I have a lot of LGBT friends, and they are literally some of the best people you will ever meet. Let me give you some advice if one of your friends comes out to you.

1. Be supportive. Even if you disagree with it, don't go off yelling at them. It takes a lot of courage to tell the people you care about, and they most likely have been rehearsing it in their head nonstop.

2. Do not treat them like an alien. I get it if you don't understand, but LGBT people are not from Mars, they just have different feelings. It's okay to. To understand and it's okay to ask questions, but don't treat them too differently.

3. One thing I have heard the most. The most common response. "So if you're gay...do you like me?" I get that you're confused but just because they like your gender does not mean they like you. Do not ask if they like you. If they did, they'd tell you. Trust me.

4. It's okay to ask questions. Ask away. If you're confused, ask. But be gentle with it.
Don't: "OMG that's so weeeird. But like, why?"
Do: "Ok, but how do you know?"
And don't be surprised if they get a bit frustrated trying to answer these, because they're still trying to find themselves.

5.  Do not get offended if you're not the first person they tell. If you find out they told their other friend before you don't freak out. They have their reasons.

Keep these things in mind when I say this.
I'm bi.
To all my friends hearing this for the first time, surprise?
