I don't think Nina has ever been so quiet before. I mean she is a quiet person but this was just too quiet for my taste, "Nina... Please don't freak out.... my father is a bit... intimidating... and my house mates can be a bit..um...different?" I shrug and look at Masky but he gives me a confused look too. "It's okay...Every family can be a bit weird." She says hugging her bag close to her chest and staying as far away from Masky as possible. I stop walking,"Nina, don't be so scared of Masky! He is the most Innocent out of the people I live with!" I cross my arms and continue walking. When my house is in sight I link my arm with Nina's, "Now let give you a bit of prep for what you're about to see," She gave me a worried look, "Well... If Jack asks you for a kidney.... say no.... If Jeff tells you to go to sleep yell for me, and whatever happens... you can't tell ANYONE." I look her straight in the eyes. She hold out her pinkie and we pinkie swear. We walk up the stairs to the house and I hold my breath as I open the door.

"Dad I'm home and I brought Nina!" I yell and I hear Jeff's hurried steps coming to us. Masky walks right up to him (Before he can reach us) and puts his hand on Jeff's face. Nina looks at Jeff and freaks out. I put my hand on her shoulder, “Come with me." I say leading her up the stairs and to my room. I open the door and hear her gasp, "It's so pretty! And big! Wow, they really spoil you here," She jumped on my bed and lay flat to look at the ceiling, "A bit boring though... not exactly 'you'." "I know, that's why I brought the posters and music!" I turn on my music and open my suit case, "Time to get the party started!" I shout and through her a stack of my pictures for her to hang on the wall as I order her where to put them.

There's a knock on my bedroom door and I yell,"Come in!" over the music. My father opens the door. I see Nina turn around and her eyes widen, she screams at the top of her lungs and clings to the bed frame. "Hey dad!" I smile, "That's Nina, she's a bit timid but she'll come out of her skin," I laugh and he pats me on the head, "Nice to meet you, Nina. Anabelle, do you need anything?" He asks me. Come to think of it... I am hungry, I didn't have breakfast and it would be nice to have a dresser or something... "Um... I'm a bit hungry... But I'll make something! Uh... It would be nice to have a bedside table and dresser to hold all of my crap but it's way too heavy to carry it from my old house to here without a truck," I look down, "But if that's too much to ask for than forget about it. I don't wanna be a bother till next month," I laugh. I don't mean to grab my necklace but I do and it catches my father's attention, "What are you wearing around your neck?" He asks but I hesitate. How is he gonna react to me wearing my mother's wedding ring? Will he be mad? Will he be sad? Or will he be happy that she kept it all these years? "Um... It's mom's wedding ring," I took the necklace off and handed it to him. He looked at it carefully. "I can't believe she kept it for so long." He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his own ring. He put it on the necklace and handed it to me. I put it on and looked at the two rings. One was thick and solid gold and the other was gold with one diamond in the center and crystals making a design of some kind.

"Is this your ring?" I ask and he smiles, "Now you can wear both rings." He begins to walk out but then he turns around again, "Do you have your license?"

"Yeah." He throws me car keys.

"If you can find the truck these belong to in the forest, it's yours."

"Really? Thanks!"

"But you have to take Masky with you."

"Why? I'm half uh.... thing.... I can protect myself."

"Your mother was too and she's not here so until you discover your talent, you have to take Masky with you everywhere."

"Fine...whatever..."

I look at Nina and smile, "Time to go car hunting." Nina hops off my bed and follows closely behind me. I knock on Masky's door, "Masky! We need you to come to the forest with us!" "Okay! Hold on!" we wait for a few minutes and Masky finally comes out of his room, "Finally!" I shout and he pushes me,"I'm sorry, I had to find the right shoes to match my outfit." He said in a girly voice. I push him and we laugh as my two best friends and I walk out of the front door.
