Chapter 5

We've seen three cars so far and none of them fit the key we have. All the cars in the forest are the cars of my father's victims who have been stupid enough to stumble into this forest at night. "We've been searching for hours!" Nina complains, "Are you just hungry? You tend to get grumpy when you're hungry." I say pushing her. "Maybe..." "Well once we find the car, we can go get something to eat!" I say punching my fist in the air. "You have money?" Masky asks and I lower my fist. I frown, "Well there is my mother's debit card, she always kept a lot of money in there in case something happened and it's in her room so we can get that and then I can get a job." "Good plan!" Nina yells. I laugh and look around us," Masky, do you know where we are?" He nodded, "Yeah there should be another car coming up. Hey, how did you travel before?" "Um we took the bus or we'd bike. My mom was big on saving the earth and forest and stuff so we never owned a car but she still let me get my licence."

We continued walking until a car was in sight, "My turn!" Nina yelled running to the car. I tossed her the keys and she missed them completely. She picked them up and tried to to start the car but it wouldn't start. "Aww and this one was a nice one too! Couldn't you imagine driving in this?" It is a nice car, nicer than the others we've seen today. It was a dark blue 2005 ford mustang gt with black stripes down the center. "Are you sure you're not just a weakling and can't turn it hard enough?" Masky asks as he takes the keys and easily turns on the car. I squeal, "Oh my God! Thank you thank you thank you!" I jump up and down and give him a tight hug, "Well what are you guys waiting for? Get in! We got stuff to do!" I laugh as Nina takes the passenger seat and Masky climbs in the back. I take the well and carefully drive out of the forest and into the road. First stop, my old house.

"Ana! My tummy has the rumblies!" Nina complained. "Shut up already or I'll feed Jack your kidneys!" I joke. I roll down the windows and yell, putting my hands out the window and letting my hair whip my face. With my debit card in hand with over $1 million dollars on it, I'm about to do some heavy shopping. "Hey do you guys wanna go to the fair tonight?" Nina asks. "Why not? We can take the rest of the family!" "But what about... you know.." Masky asks. Nina looks at him with "duh" expression, "We are all pretty much teens right? The people will think it's just 'cause they want to dress up like freaks and it'll be dark so no one will be able to tell that they are the real things." I smile, "As long as Jeff keeps his temper down and we feed Jack, we should be able to get away with it."

We pull into the mall parking lot and get out. I grab my purse and we all skip along. "I need new clothes and crap to put in my room so, let us start!" I say as we walk in the mall and begin our shopping. "Masky, you don't have to go everywhere with us. You can go to your guy stores or something," "No, it's fine. I don't know anything about this place so I'll just stick with you guys." I nod and Nina stops me, "Hold up, bitch alert." I look up, "Oh.. it's that whore again." "What are you guys talking about?" Masky asks. Nina points directly at Wendy. A girl who bullies, steals boyfriends, and does whatever she can to mess with your head. When I first came to my high school she tried to get me into her group of jerks, I rejected her. If that didn't make things bad, she bullied Nina so I made her stop with "Mean words" and maybe slapped her a few times. I think what she hates most about me is that she can't get into my head or my friend's heads. She says I brain washed them or something. I just gave them confidence.

Wendy looks over to us and smiles her evil smile. She flips her dark brown hair and motions to her group to come. Nina sticks her tongue out at her and Windy frowns,"Stick that back or I'll cut it off!"

"Watch yourself, bitch!" I say walking in front of Nina.

"Oh, look girls, it's little Blondie coming to save the day again," She laughs and looks at Masky, "Who is this? Your new freak for your group?" I slap her in the face, "Girl, you need to shut the fuck up and stop judging people by how they look, maybe if you'd done that earlier, you'd still have your virginity!" I hear Nina laugh and the two girls that stand behind Windy look at each other. The one with dirty blonde hair says, "You know, she's kinda right.." I laughed, "See your own 'friend' knows I'm right." I made sure to put quotes around the "friend".

She clenched her fists and punches my left cheek and I stumble backwards, "Haha, you're so stupid, you think I wanna fight with you just so you can bat your little eyes and get me in trouble, uh no. I'm not going to sink to your level just so I can screw myself." I begin to walk away, "Oh and thanks for the proof that you punched me, I'll be sending my father after you, or maybe my new house mate, Jeff?" I look over at Masky and he laughs," Definitely Jeff." he says.

"I thought you didn't have a father." Windy said confused.

"Oh I met him last night and he's a bit intimidating."

"Who's Jeff?"

"I don't like you, and you just punched me... you think I'm going to tell you who Jeff is?" I say with a smile and head to Wet Seal to start my shopping.
