I sit on the couch in the secret room and relax so my body can return to normal. I feel the sting in my back as my wings disappear into my back. I turn to face Masky but he just stands where I left him in awe. “What’s wrong? Did I scare you?” I giggle and turn around. “Did you see what you did there?”

“Yeah…well… no… I felt it but I didn’t see myself. That’s kinda impossible.”

“But… that was amazing! And scary. And slightly disturbing.”

“I disturbed you? Well I’m sorry for wanting to show you my ability.”

He stood there in silence. I got up from the couch and walked up to him. “I knew about all of my abilities accept for one.”

“What was that?”

“I can read people.”

“Do you mean that you’re physic?”

“Yes and no. I have the physic ability but I also have another trait that allows me to see if a person is worth saving or must be killed.”

“That’s a cold power.”

“It’s something that only people who can transform have.”

“That’s amazing.”

“I thought so too.” We stand there looking at my scores on the board, almost perfect. “What should I be called?”

“Uh what?” He laughs looking at me.

“You know. Like how my dad is Slender Man and you’re Masky… What should my ‘name’ be?”

He stood there and thought for a moment. “Well if you saved me, I’d say you were a savior. But if I saw you transform I’d say you were a fallen angel.”

“Why a fallen angel?”

“Because I know that you mean good and… uh…”

I laugh,” I like The Savior for my good side and I really like Fallen Angel for my bad side.”

“Good!” He laughs.

I grab his arm and begin to drag him out of the secret room. “Where are we going?”

“What day is it?”

“Uhhh August 10th.”

“Exactly! Now I am taking you to get signed up at my school. It’s a bit late but you need an education if you’re ever going to get anywhere in life Mr!”

He laughs,” Don’t sound like such a mom!”

“Don’t sound like such a boy!”

“What is that supposed to mean?”

“I don’t know.” We laugh and I drag him down the stairs and before we walk out the front door we turn and see my dad frantically looking for something.

“What are you looking for Dad?”

“Just a book.”

Masky and I look at each other; he’s looking for the book we stole. Our eyes get wide as I look at the door and say quickly, “Hope you find it good luck!”

“Stop!” He says as he grabs my arm, “Where are you two going?”

“To my school, I’m signing Masky up for High School.”

Dad stands there and thinks, I know that if he had a face he’d be giving me a face that told me that he doesn’t think it’s a good idea. “Fine, have fun. Be safe and don’t do anything stupid.” I laugh at the last part and head out the door.

*At School*

I walk into the schools attendance office with Masky and look at the lady across the counter. She has bleach blonde hair and a pink blouse. She was on the phone when I walked in and gave me a weird look. I stand there and fold my hands and put them behind my back. I won’t be rude, unless she’s rude to me. When she got off the phone she put on a fake smile and looked at Masky and I, waiting for me to say something. “Um, is it too late to have someone transfer to this school.” I ask quietly. She looks at her computer and looks up to me, “Any transfers should have turned in their paper work at the end of May.” “Is it possible for you to squeeze this boy into the school? I mean it’s only one student and he’s been home schooled his entire life plus his-“The office lady cut me off, “I can see what I can do.” She types on her computer then with a high voice she replies, “Oh looks like I can’t do anything to help you.” I cross my arms tightly and edge closer to the desk, “Please just put him in, you won’t regret it he has-” “Sorry I can’t help you. If he wants to go to a normal school please take him to another.” This chick was really ticking me off; if she cuts me off one more time I’m gonna lose it. “But he has amazing grades and is a perfect stud-” “I’m sorry I can’t help so get your butt out of my office.”

“Oh hell no!”

The lady looks at me weird when I say this. I slam my hands on the counter and I can feel my body change into the Fallen Angel I am. “Masky, lock the door and put the closed sign on.” He doesn’t hesitate; he just does what I tell him to. I lean closer to the woman who pissed me off. She looks at me in fear. “Now, if you don’t want something bad to happen I suggest you sign him up. I don’t care what classes as long as he is in all of the average classes for a senior in high school. If I hear of any issues, I will hurt you, do you understand?” My eyes stare deep into her soul, deciding if she is worth saving or not. The color stays normal; I won’t help her in any way. She nods slowly and types away at her computer. I turn and begin to walk out of the door when I see her stand up and throw something out of the corner of my eye. I turn and catch it. It was a pair of scissors. I walk up and put the scissors back into her drawer she pulled them out of. I smile, “See you in two weeks.” And walk out the door. Masky looks at me and smiles as I change back to normal.

“What?”

“Nothing, I just didn’t think that the evil side of you would be so useful.”

“ I didn’t either.”
