22 - Not okay

I slowly opened my eyes and found myself in a room I knew too well. I looked around.

My memories slowly all came back to me. This couldn't be true. It wasn't a nightmare?

"B-Baekhyun ...?" I whispered.

All of sudden I heard a knock. I cleared my throat before answering.

"C-Come in ..."

Mia immediately rushed into my room and hugged me tightly.

"Aria, you're finally back!" Mia said happily.

I didn't even know how to respond. Yes, I was back. But I was broken. My heart was torn into pieces.

She looked at me with a worried look.

"I was afraid those men would do something to you! They didn't treat you badly, did they?"

I slowly shook my head. Of course they didn't.

"It's such a horrible thing," Mia said sadly.

"Yeah ... It is," I whispered softly while nodding slowly.

"Aria, I know a thing that can cheer us both up!" Mia smiled a little. "Remember my favorite band in the world? Before all this happened, you promised me you'd see "EXO Showtime" with me. Even though I've seen it many times already, we should see it together."

I stiffened up a little when I heard "EXO". I know I had promised her. But that was before ... Before all this.

She can't suspect anything either ...

"Yes ... Let's do that then ..." I said softly.

She smiled. She sat on my bed by my side. I gave her my laptop.

She started typing stuff immediately while I was quietly waiting.

She put my laptop in front of us both and played whatever video we were going to watch.

I must admit it was taking all my energy not to break down when I saw EXO coming up.

As we were watching, I noticed how much fun they had together.

Then all of sudden he came up. His face. Him. He was smiling so cheerfully. He looked so happy, so innocent. Like a child.

I couldn't keep it in anymore. Tears started streaming down my cheeks.

"P-Please turn it off," I cried.

Mia gave me a shocked look but quickly put the laptop away.

She gave me a tight hug.

"Aria! What's wrong?" She looked at me clearly shocked. "What happened?"

I couldn't stop myself from crying.

"I-I just ... I want to be alone for a while ... Please ..." I said as clearly as I could through my sobbing and crying.

She nodded slowly.

"If you need me, please call me immediately. Let me know when you're ready to talk," she said and walked out of my room.

I laid in my bed and I'm not sure how many hours I laid there and cried. It simply felt like it was impossible to stop the tears.

I was missing one person.

Baekhyun ...

I quickly shook my head.

He fooled you, Aria. He used you. He is not the person you thought he was. He is a criminal. A thief. Who knows? Maybe a murderer too.
