I woke up when I felt Jason tapping me.
"Carson, wake up we're here." I stretched while looking around.   We were at the Belvedere, one of the most luxurious American restaurants Los Angeles has to offer.  After opening up my door, we made our way into the restaurant. When he walked in, we were greeted warmly by a tall slim man who couldn't have been no older than twenty-three.

"Hello my name is Manny how can I assist you this lovely evening?" "Reservations for Jason Smith" he spoke while looking down at me. I couldn't help but blush. "Ah yes right this way. He lead us to a patio that was setup really nice.  The mood was set with soft music. "After taking down our orders he got ready to walk away." If you guys need anything feel free to let me know. I'll be right back with your food and wine." He spoke before walking away.

"I wanted to get to know you in a better scenery, where we are both sober." I couldn't help but laugh. "I'm sorry about last night. I made a complete fool out of myself. I'm usually not the type to consume that much alcohol or go out period. But, since I did I thought I'd make the best of it."

"It's fine Carson. I'm sure you were just trying to have a great time. But enough about last night, tell me about yourself."

"Well I'm from Miami. My family and I moved here when I was about twelve. I'm a neonatal nurse practitioner over at the Children's Hospital of L.A. When I'm not there, I'm volunteering at the Millennium Dance Complex over on Lankershim Blvd.

"Wow you're a busy woman. Will you ever have time for me in your busy life?" He chuckled. "After you putting this romantic dinner together of course!" I took a sip of my wine, "so tell me about you."

"Well I was born and raised here in Los Angeles.  I'm a psychologist during the day and on-call firefighter by night. I guess you can say my schedule is a little hectic too." Manny finally came out with our food and I was more than happy. After Jason blessed the food we ate in silence, enjoying each other's company.

After eating and leaving a generous tip, we took a stroll through the park. "So how many siblings do you have?" I asked. "I have a sister, Miranda, who you will soon meet. What about you?" "Well I'm the only child. Most people would love to be the only child, but it gets really lonely at times.  I wish I had nieces and nephews to look after on the weekends and spoil ya' know?"

We continued to walk through the park talking about everything under the sun. I looked at my watch and realized that it was almost nine something.  I had to be a work at four in the morning, and if I wanted to be well energized then I'd need to be in bed sleep.

"Tired of me already?" He laughed while side-eyeing me. "No, I have to be at work early in the morning." I giggled. "Well let's go" he spoke before grabbing my hand leading us out the park.

After driving for what seemed like forever, we pulled up to my house. He got out to open my door and help me out of the car. "Thank you for giving me a chance to get to know you." I felt like I was back in high school talking to my crush. "Thank you for  an amazing time, and just listening." After saying our goodbyes he left.

I went up stairs and took my makeup off.  Afterwards, I stripped out of my clothes, and got in the shower.  I left my hair down and and let the steamy water caress my skin. I finished washing up and got out.  I dried off and blow dried my hair. I coated my skin in cocoa butter and slipped on my silk robe.

I said a silent prayer before going to sleep. I sighed, "tomorrow's going to be a long day." The soft plush covers caused me to fall into a deep slumber.
