Ring ring ring
I walked over to my record player and stopped my Beatles record and went over to the phone
"Hello?" I ask the person on the other end
"Hi, is this the Holmes residence?" A manly voice asks
"Yes it is" I say in a slighly suspicious tone
"Is Tashana available?" The he asks
"Speaking" I say
"This is Rob Reiner, you have got the part for Lilly Michaels in the film Stand By Me" Rob says
"Oh my god really?" I say estaticly
"Yes, cast is to meet at the studio at twelve today, see you there" he says
"I'll be there" I say and we hang up
"MUM! DAD!" I yell out to my parents
"What?!" Mum yells from the kitchen
"I did it" I say, almost breathless
"I did it, I got the part, I did it" I say and my mum smiles and hugs me
"That's amazing" she says and dad walks in
"What's going on?" He asks
"I got the part" I say and he hugs me
"That's great" he says
"I have to be at the studio by twelve" I say and mum looks at dad
"It's only like half an hour walk" I say
"We can take you" mum says
"But I wanna walk" I say
"Ok you can walk" dad says and I go to my room and try to find something to wear.
My whole wardrobe is basically black, despite a couple of band and movie shirts.
I grab an AC/DC top and denim shorts with a pair of high top Reeboks and walk back down to the kitchen and grab an apple.
"You still have two hours you know?" Mum says
"Yeah, but you me, I'm good at not being ready on time and be late" I say and she laughs
"Point taken" she says and continues what she's doing
+++two hours later+++
"Ma, I'm gonna go now" l say walking back down the hallway, to find her in her domain, the kitchen
"Ok honey, best of luck" she says kissing my forehead, same with my dad
"Love you" I say as i walk out the door.
The day was one of them annoying days when it's too hot to wear a jacket but too cold not to wear one so your stuck in the freKing middle and then just go without a jacket cuz your too lazy to carry one with you and realise that walking in a jacket makes you hot.
Yeah that's the weather.
+++half hour later+++
The studio I auditioned in about a month ago. I walk through the doors and see a few people standing in the room. The cast. Like twenty people. There's Corey Feldman who was Teddy Duchamp. Will Wheaton who was the main character, Gordie Lachance. Jerry O'Connell who was Vern Tessio. Keifer Sutherland who was Ace Merrill. And a real nice looking boy with his guitar. River Phoenix. He was acting as Chris Chambers.
They added a gurl in the film so that it wouldn't be so, I don't know, like, for boys, but They were shit at coming up with names so I'm acting as Lilly Michaels. Great huh.
"I am assuming your Tashana" Jerry says walking up to me
"Yeah, the one and only" I say with sass
"Your very pretty" he says
"No, I'm not" I say casually shrugging
"Hey, you are too" he says
"No I ain't"
"Who told you that?" He asks me
"Must I really list" I say sighing
"I take it a lot of people have then" he says
"You bet" I say
"Well their wrong, you one great girl" he says "now why dont you come and meet the boys" he says leading me over to them
"He guys, I found Tashana" he says
"Hey beautiful" Corey says and smiles
"Hi" I manage to say
"Hey" Wil says
"Sup bro" I ask
"N'thin much" he smile
"Hey, I'm River" River says holding out his hand to shake
"Well, hello handsome, I'm Tashana" I say and shake his hand
"How Are you?" He asks
"I don't know how I am, I never do, but thanks for asking, how are you?" I say plainly
"Wonderful actually" he says quite gleefully
"That's nice to see that someone is so positive" I say
"I try to see the best in life, not the worst" he says
"I would do that but I can't, I tried but I can't. There's just too much wrong with me" I say
"How could such a fine young woman have anything wrong with her?" He asks
"Good question" I say and shrug "because I don't even know the answer"
"I was reading the script a few days ago, and we have a few, um, scenes" he stops on 'scenes' and he does quotation marks with his fingers "together... So I guess itll be pretty cool" man hes sweet
Does that mean we have some like 'scenes' as in, well, you know, kissing, Jesus christ, I ain't ever kissed a boy before or anything. I should of really read yhe script instead of chucking out the window...
