Chapter 9: Bad Visions

*Ashton*

When I woke up Evelyn wasn't in bed and her side of the bed was cold meaning she hasn't been in bed for a while, I'm worried about her she's been acting weird lately she keeps spacing out and she's distant and edgy, like yesterday she yelled at Beverly just because she was standing in her way, she's spiraling and we don't know why.

I was in my office going over some of this month's paperwork when a sharp shock shot through me not a second later Camden burst into my office,
"Ashton hurry something is happening to Evelyn!" I jumped up and ran after him into the yard Evelyn was on the ground screaming and clutching her ears, she kept repeating the same sentence,
"I don't know...Just leave me alone" I called out to her and when she looked up my heart stooped blood was flowing out of her nose and eyes Before I could get to her her eyes rolled back into her head and she fell unconscious.

I was sitting in her empty hospital room waiting for the doctors to return her after the tests it's been three hours and they keep telling me they don't know what's wrong yet, I was about to strangle a nurse when the doctor wheeled her in she looked horrible she was pale and the skin around her eyes were bruised I turned to the doctor hoping they have an explanation,
"What's wrong with her...is my mate going to be okay?" He gave me a sympathetic look and placed his hand on my shoulder,
"I'm sorry alpha but we still don't know what's wrong, we did however see her brain is a little swollen on the one side that could explain her passing out but it doesn't explain the bleeding, we'll do more test and get back to you we have put her on strong anesthetics so she might be asleep for a while three days at the most it's to help with the migraines if there is anything you need call me." I nodded and sat down in the chair next to her bed,
"Thank you doctor" he smiled and left the room, I looked down at her and removed a stray piece of hair that fell into her face, even laying in the hospital she's still extremely beautiful,
"Hey baby I need you to be fine, Ok you just need to be fine I still need to take you out on our first date I can't do that if your not fine." Even though I knew she couldn't respond I was still disappointed when she didn't.

*Evelyn*

I don't know where I am all I know is I don't want to be here anymore it's so dark and there's this loud siren like noise that keeps going off every ten seconds, my head feels like it's going to burst I need to get out of here...and fast.

It's worse there's a red light flickering above my head I figured out I'm in a glass like cell, there are over a hundred voices whispering at the same time,
"Please stop... I can't help you please just leave me alone...please" they just kept getting louder and louder I can't take it anymore there just added more voices every time I tried to get them to stop,
"I'm begging you please...Stop!" I screamed as loud as I can and everything went quiet I gasped to get some air in my lungs so I can breathe again.

I froze at the sound of someone clapping their hands I slowly turned around and came face to face with...myself except this me has bright blue eyes and pitch black hair she smirked at me,
"Look at you being all pathetic" I returned her glare took a step forward and placed my hands against the glass,
"Who are you?"
"I'm better you" she smirked and placed her hands against the glass like mine,
"What do you want from me?" She stepped away walked over to the door of the cell unlocked it and walked up to me,
"Right now nothing, I just need you to be ready when the war comes" I frowned and stepped closer to her,
"War? What war are you talking about?" She stepped away smirked and threw a pill at me,
"Don't worry you whiney bitch you'll know it when you see it, now drink the pill so you can go back to lover boy before he blows an artery or kill somebody, I'll see you again and if I don't see you I'll be the little voice in the back of your head" with that said she walked out, I looked at the black pill in my hand took a deep breath and swallowed it.

I could feel my body gaining function I slowly tried to open my eyes only to close them again when the bright lights hit them when I opened them again I wished I didn't the room was a mess everything was overturned and Ashton was holding a doctor against the wall by his neck yelling at him about me not waking up oblivious to the fact that I actually have woken up I tried to scream at him but my throat hurts so I settled for the next best thing throwing him with the nearest object which happened to be a Styrofoam cup filled with water.

He spun around and glared only to lose it a second later and replace it with a face splitting smile, he ran over and took me into his arms successfully suffocating me I pushed against his chest to get him to let me go,
"Ash I need air let go, please" he pulled away but didn't let me go he leaned over and placed a soft kiss against my forehead,
"I'm just happy you're ok, I was so worried baby, it's funny a few days ago I didn't want a mate now I can't imagine my life without you, I'll die without you" my heart almost jumped out of my chest god I think I love this man before he could say anything else I kissed him like my life depended on it, I pulled away and placed my hands on his chest,
"I don't think I can live without you ether, I need you to keep me sane Ashton without you I'll lose my mind" he smirked and pulled me into another searing kiss,
"Don't worry baby I'm not going anywhere anytime soon"

I still haven't told him about the vision and I'm not going to yet, I need to figure out what this all means before I stress him and the pack out for all I know it could just mean I'm losing my Damn mind, I kind of hope it's that cause we are not ready for a war, I need to get into contact with the ancestors maybe they will have more answers.
