Guys! Look what I found! HAHAHAHAXD! I can't stop laughing! This person decided they were going to prove that all Monkee songs are about sex and drugs! I can see some of these but they most of these are just hilarious! I don't believe it. Do you? I'll tell you if I believe each one or not. ;)

Also any language in here is from the person who wrote it and not mine.

Can You Dig It?- "Can You Dig It/Do you Know/Would You Care to Let it Show" is basically Peter's way to try to get into a chick's pants. [I don't believe this one]

Tear the Top Right Off My Head"- Definitely about doing drugs. "Blow my mind. I'm going blind." "Freaking out in the afternoon." An ode to an LSD trip. [I don't believe this]

Sunny Girlfriend- A lovely song about a drug lab, and the hot girl who runs it. Sunny Girlfriend is a term that Nez uses for both the drugs and the girl. "Of painting smiles on dolls/ and then on me"...in the 60s, the word "doll" was slang for pill. [Don't believe this one]

She Hangs Out- Your little sister is a whore. And I want to sleep with her.[Okay, I've always believed this one]

Don't Call On Me- You used me for sex, and I'm getting sick of it. [I doubt it]

Star Collector- This song is the first known pop song about groupies. Obviously. With lines like "How can I love her, when I just don't respect her?" and "She only aims to please young celebrities" how can this not be obvious? [This one they don't say is about sex or drugs, i'm not sure exactly what they were saying with this]

Take a Giant Step:- Micky tries to get his girl to get stoned with him and enter the great wonderful world of weed. [I think that Micky once said this was about how love is the ultimate trip. sooo....]

Sweet Young Thing:- Mike did some really powerful cocaine and it's making him paranoid. This song has a ton of drug references, especially references to a person who's just snorted a bunch of cocaine; paranoia, delusions of grandeur, the feeling that you can do ANYTHING (like flying), asshole behavior "People try to talk to me/ Their words are ugly sounds/ But I resist all their attempts /To try and bring me down." [Nope!]

She:- She screwed me, then left me with nothing. But I still want her. [I agree, but I don't necessarily think it says anything about having sex with the girl]

Look Out (Here Comes Tomorrow):- Mary is a good, sweet girl and Sandra is a wild chick with long hair. Can we have a threesome? [NO WAY! THERE IS NO WAY! I don't believe this]

Forget That Girl:- Davy's telling his friend that his ex-girlfriend is a hoe bag and he can do better. [Yes.I do believe this]

For Pete's Sake:- Let's just have one big orgy. It's something we all need. [Yes, but Pete was right}

No Time:- Are you going to screw me or not, cos I'm getting impatient. [I think the girl broke up with him and he's saying, 'good! Aint nobody got time for that!']

Words:- You were a good lay. If only you weren't such a bitch. [True. I believe it. But I don't think it's that harsh. More like, 'I loved you, why did you have to hurt me.']

Daydream Believer:- What more do I have to say to you to get you to have sex with me? [...HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THIS...]

Last Train to Clarksville:- An anti-war song ahead of its time. [Anti war?!]

Goin Down: Heh. Do I really have to explain this one? Ok, well this one has two meanings. One is...well...obvious, the other is that Micky's chick left him and he gets really really wasted and practically drowns in a river. Nice message. [I and Micky both agree with the second meaning. He said it himself!]

Cuddly Toy:- Look, you're a whore who participates in gang-bangs. Get over yourself. [I must admit that this is true.]

Valleri:- You used to be really hideously ugly, but now you're hot, so lets have sex. [No...I don't think so. A guy can ask a girl out without asking her for some]

Laugh:- The wonders of weed. " And transvestities, apparently. ("Laugh, When you go to a party/ And you can't tell the boys ?From the girls.") As Davy himself sings in the song, "It's not so hard to see exactly what I'm after": drugs and transvestites. [This proves this person hasn't a clue. 'and you can't tell the boys from the girls' was a reference to the hair styles and clothes. Every dressed and wore their hair in almost the same way.]

Mommy and Daddy:- Your parents are Valium addicted hypocrites. They don't care about you either. [I don't agree. I think it was Micky's stab at parents who don't teach their kids or shelter them too much.]

Time and Time Again:- Davy finally starts to feel bad about screwing a bunch of girls at one time. "Time and time again/ naughty girls get me in trouble" and he's sick of girls that are "free and easy". Yeah, what a liar. [This is about one night stands. But at least he's not glorifying them.]

Zor and Zam:- War is stupid. [WHY IS THAT A BAD THING? YES, I AGREE!]

Teeny Tiny Gnome:- The ultimate tribute to psychedelics. Even the trippy guitar solo supports this. The gnome has a pipe and sits on a "toadstool" for Nez sakes. [No I think this is just a crazy song about boredom]

Shorty Blackwell:- Micky disses both Mike and Peter in a sly sort of way..."He built a house upon a hill / Ask him if he's happy and then give him a pill / He's going mad" (Peter)...."He bought another car today / Ask him if he's happy, then turn the other way /He's going mad" (Mike) [I do agree with this one too. Poor Micky]

Salesman:- Exposes the tough life of a drug dealer. The guys backing vocals near the end of the song "He's sailing so high...." make it appear that maybe they all smoked a bunch of weed before recording this. Who knows? [Where does it say he's selling drugs? No where. Find me where it directly quotes that the salesman is selling drugs and then we can talk.]

Randy Scouse Git:- Micky's first trip to England consists of screwing a girl, partying, and apparently having an argument with some squares. [The only thing sexual about this song is it's name. As quoted by Micky himself]

Love is Only Sleeping:- Nez's girl is too depressed to sleep with him.[Maybe she wont sleep with him, but it never says that.]

Gettin In:- Definitely a song about sex. Read the lyrics and tell me it's not about sex. Really. [Possible. But yet again, it never says that.]

Auntie's Municipal Court:- Another song about the suckiness of cocaine. [*Shakes head* ...No...just no...im done with this...]

Please share your thoughts while I go laugh/cry over this list. :)
