I stared at my phone.
"Did I just hear what I think I heard?"
I met Taylor's wide eyes. "Yes," I croaked.
"Where is she?"
"Lyric's with Kate. Our daughter? I don't know yet."
James was throwing things at us: coats, keys, a blanket. Taylor tossed the blanket back onto the couch as we followed him out of the house. We didn't speak, but we all had the same thought: get to Lyric, find our daughter.
