Jojo's POV
I followed the police officer back to the interrogation room, scared.
What if I crack? What if I tell them about the night of the play?
I can't. I just have to tell them about the letters and everything. I wonder why they didn't do this right after Chloe disappeared? When Paige disappeared they took it way more seriously.
I'm still mad at Kenzie and Maddie but I'm grateful. After they left my room I started thinking if they were right. Maybe this is for the best.
The officer stopped at a room, a large glass peered into it. There was a table and two chairs facing the opposite of each other.
He opened the door with a set of keys and gestured me in. "Take your seat, the detective will be here shortly."
I nodded my head and sat down.
No ones POV
Once the detective arrived he sat across from Jojo, asked her some simple questions.
"Had Chloe been acting oddly those few days before the disappearance?"
"Yeah. A few more months before it she quit dance and started trying out for plays and stuff." The blonde answered.
"Did she seem like she was hiding something?"
Maddie shook her head, "No. Chloe has always been good at hiding stuff."
"And what about Paige?"
"Paige was the one that's first got the letter from Chloe, I don't think she new anything before that." Mackenzie shook her head "She was always bad at hiding something, there's no way."
"Where were you on the night she disappeared?"
Jojo's breath hitched in her throat, "I was at the play."
"But where were you after the play? We have on record she disappeared after it."
"I went to go find her, when they did the final curtain call she looked at me as if she was never going to see me again, And she was no where to be found after. I tried looking but no such luck." Jojo lied, she didn't know why she did.
"Do you recognize this man?" The detective held up a picture of Felix.
"Yes." Maddie answered, "Jojo meant him on a plane when she was coming back to Pittsburgh."
"Why did she come back to Pittsburgh?"
"Paige had called her urgently to come back after she got the letter."
"But why didn't you tell the police?"
"I didn't think Chloe wanted us to do that." Jojo answered, "but I should've." She looked at her shoes a tears formed in her eyes.
